Ready to use right out of the box, this 1 qt. Lodge Logic Camp Dutch oven comes with a beautiful heirloom finish that eliminates the time and effort typically required to season cast iron cookware.

    • From BACKPACKER 2012 Editors’ Choice Awards: “For car-, horse-, and boat-camping trips, when weight is no object, nothing beats these ovens for fireside meals.”
    • Lodge coats the entire surface of the oven with a proprietary vegetable oil formula, then bakes the oil onto the cookware with high-temperature gas ovens
    • The high temperature allows the oil to penetrate deeply into the cast iron surface, creating that prized heirloom finish
    • Cast iron distributes heat evenly—perfect for both quick, high-heat browning and long, slow cooking
    • Snug-fitting lid is flanged to hold hot coals on top for baking, stewing and roasting; flip the lid over for use as a griddle
    • High-gauge wire bail handle can be used to hang the Dutch oven over the hearth or campfire
    • 3 legs let you place the Lodge Logic Dutch oven over hot coals

    Made in USA.

Comments about Lodge Logic Camp Dutch Oven - 1 qt.:

This 1 qt. is great. I can fit it on my motorcycle, a great addition for touring. When we car camp without our normal large family groups (I use a 10" deep oven for these hungry people)this 1 qt. will be just perfect. The three legs are high enough to get coals underneath. Lid is deep and solid. I don't like the lid lift setup, it could be better. I use vise-grips to lift it. I will re-manufacture this one item. Overall, this is a keeper!

Comments about Lodge Logic Camp Dutch Oven - 1 qt.:

This just came in off a long back-order and I had to use it right away. First thoughts is that it's a bit lighter then advertised. More like 6.5lbs not 7. And it's seasoned but not the best right outta the box like high-end cast iron but will get better with time but indeed seasoned. Also the only real CON is the grab on the lid. Wish it had a hole... so I drilled one in it too easier take the lid on and off. The legs are nice and it sits even as well the lid fits nicely. The first thing I've made was a just add water Betty Crocker muffin mix and it turned out fine sitting in coals and some coals on the lid for about 6 - 7 minutes and a bit off the heat source to let the center finish and turned out just fine. I plan on using this on kayak camp trips to bake in or make small stews when I can take the supplies for it. I concider myself a nice 50/50 of confort driven and minimalist. This oven is smaller then my hand spread open (I'm 5'11 so not huge hands) so I don't see this eating much room in my kayaks dry storage but will not always take it on outings. I'm not a backpacker or hiker but could maybe see someone using this in that arena attaching it to the outside of the pack if short trip or a buddy to share the load. Prefect size for one or two people. For the heck of it I wish it came with straps to keep both parts together but I just used two bungee cords to keep it together.
