I own a variety of flashlights, now all updated to LED bulbs, this is by far the one that I use most often. It pumps out an amazing quantity of lumens for such a small package! The ability to go from the low to high setting so smoothly is a definite plus. The lanyard is a nice feature which is easily threaded through the tail end of the light. Impressive flashlight to say the least. Not to mention that it is offered for such a low price.

This flashlight fits in with all my other lighting "appliances"..... they use AA batteries in lieu of AAA. I like to standardize and this high quality item fits the bill.

Additionally, this unit does not have a low battery warning button that drains batteries silently while in you pack or vehicle.

Best light in REI store at the time, but would have preferred light using 123 battery rather than AA. Light does include lanyard but no directions/picture on how to attach it. Needed a reliable light to keep in vehicle for use at night when needed.

Let me start off by saying that I like standardized batteries, so this flashlight fit the bill for me. There really isn't much to say about this flashlight and, to be honest, that's a good thing. The E21 is a simple, yet powerful, little light. There are two functions: High and low. That's it. Everything that's needed on a generalized flashlight.

The beam pattern itself is pretty tight and offers just enough to give a bit of a "flood" feature. The "low" setting is bright enough for just about any application you could think of, concerning everyday usage. It comes with spare O-Rings, a tail cap and a lanyard. The only thing that would have made it better would be if it came with a holster, of some kind, but that would be my only complaint.

With the extended tail switch, "tail standing" is impossible for the E21. The "momentary on" feature is nice, as well. The E21 is a little thicker than the LD20, which I like, seeing as I like larger barrels on my flashlights for better grip. This light is fairly light, although it is a little heavier than I'm used to.

Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and plan to get a few more to throw in my drawers, vehicles and as a back-up light for my work bag. :)

I own several torches. But this one is by far my favorite. It is a little hard to adjust the brightness, but otherwise this light is great. I use it around the house all the time. I like the AA battery standard.

Clicky switch extends past edge of barrel, so cannot tailstand. Plenty bright for most household uses or casual camping/hiking. Probably too heavy for backpacking. Much nicer than a 2AA LED Maglite.
