Comments about Born Malawi Shearling Boots - Women's - 2010 Closeout:
I ordered these boots online, being an avid Born-lover who had long dreamed of having cute boots for winter. These are just as cute in person, but I was a bit surprised at how wide the leg opening was. My calves aren't stick-thin, but these boots are still pretty big on my legs and they aren't adjustable in any way. I wish they were a bit more snug for added warmth. I think I might just move the buttons over an inch. (There's a zipper on the inner side of the boot, but the toggle buttons on the outer side are functional too.)
I haven't worn them in snowy or wet weather yet, but they have kept my feet warm for casual walks in cool temperatures.
I tried wearing them without socks since I know many other shearling boots are designed to be worn without socks. That won't work with these, though, because the zipper will rub against the side of your foot. I don't mind wearing socks though.
I ordered the same size I always get with Born, and they fit just fine.
I'm pretty happy with these boots. I wouldn't have paid full price, but the sale price was great and I'm happy with my purchase.
