I loved the way they looked on the website, Like, hey, maybe these will be better than Uggs are now made. No such luck. It was easy to get them on - a frequent problem with Uggs since I have a high instep - but that was where the "good" ended. They had no support, felt like they were about to sag and the "shearling" started to come off in my hands ond on my socks. Skip these, but too bad.

I thought -- great price, but I agree with the other reviewer - these have no support. W/in a few days, I had developed plantar fasciatis (sp?) arch pain... the boots are warm and look cute, but I think they run narrow and perhaps a bit on the big side in length... foot slips in the boot -- and no arch support at all.... not like my keen slip-ons (w/o the furry lining) that I wear everyday in rain and cold weather. I wore this boot-- but may have to return them... if the problem persists.... If I could raise the bottom and add an arch support -- I would... but the boot doesn't have a seem inside so that I can do that.

I really like Born shoes and I'm usually very happy with both their quality and REI's. However, when these arrived it's like I got two different boots. The shearling looks different on both boots; one looks thick and nice and the other looks like a cheap bootleg knock off. The stitching on the right boot is also a little crooked. I'm surprised no one at REI noticed this and that they even shipped it to me. The boot that looks great is cute and I would love to wear these but due to the defects on the right boot I'm sending them back.
