Comments about SOG Flash I Knife:
This is my favorite Every Day Carry (I carry the straight edge, not semi-serrated) and it's on me where ever I go. I've never had to replace it although I wouldn't mind putting another one and maybe a Flash II in my collection.
I'm a Summer Canoe Trail Guide and it has shown itself rust resistant and durable. The steel keeps a fine edge and the flat grind is a plus. That can sometimes be cumbersome for cutting fruit, but if you're constantly cutting fruit with a 2.5 in. blade, then what do you expect.
I took it apart once to clean out the bearing, but when I took off the two plastic washers the spring mechanism held the blade into place, therefor I do not recommend taking it apart, I wasn't able to get the two washers back in, but it hasn't been an issue.
I highly recommend this knife to anyone as an EDC or as a primary knife when adventuring. - Cheers
