I was looking for a warm layer to wear under a winter jacket and this is what I chose. My husband has a really nice thin fleece and I wanted something similar, but the only one I could find had a hood.

So far I've only worn it a couple times, but I've got no short-term problems with it. It is fuzzy on the inside and smooth on the outside. The fuzz makes it difficult to put this on over a shirt, but this is a base layer, not a jacket. The smooth outside makes it easy to wear something over top.

It fits me perfectly. I usually have trouble with arms being too short, but these are long enough. It is also a good length in the waist.

It keeps me warm, and I am always cold.

I live in the pacific northwest where the climate is generally mild. I'm perfectly content to wear a warm shirt and vest when I'm out and about. This shirt fits the bill perfectly.

On a cool morning, it is wonderful to put this warm and fuzzy shirt on. I love the zipper at the neck which helps me regulate my body temp. If its nippy or windy out, it keeps the chill out. It is considered heavyweight which means there is substance to the fabric and is heavier in weight than say a regular turtleneck or long John shirt. However, I find the weight useful for keeping warm in and blocking chills, something I was looking for.

I bought a long sleeve smart wool shirt at the same time hoping to love it as much as the glowing reviews. However, I found it itchy and not especially warm. I returned that one and kept this one.

There is a slight sheen to this shirt. That wasnt a big concern to me. Its not like sateen so I could live with it. Overall great value. I plan to buy another.

I was told I have arthritis and need medication. However, when it is below 40 degrees, here in North Texas, I have no pain or discomfort when I wear these underwear. I am sure that this clothing is a whole lot more fun for me than popping expensive and potentially harmful pills and coping with incredibly high and overpriced doctor visits. People have even complimented me on how nice this zip down top looks under my cotton top or sweater.

Unfortunately, I thought that just purchasing the bottoms would be sufficient. I was wrong. For an entire week, I walked around being comfortable from the waist down and in pain from the waist up.

REI.com explained that this fabric wicks away moisture and keeps my body heat in. Most of the time I am wearing cotton. But, from now on, once the weather hits 40 degrees or below, I am wearing my "medication".

I also no longer have "ice cold feet" due to my Thor Lo socks.

I loved shopping during the 12 days of deals at REI.com Outlet. I also received a lot of time and effort from several employees. I do not do Winter sports. I knew nothing about this clothing.

This fits so-so, a little snug in the shoulders but plenty of room in the hips (and I'm a big-hipped gal, though not over-weight). I should have ordered a large, since I intended to wear somewhat heavy t-shirts underneath. My mistake in sizing, plus lots of puckers at the seams made it easy to decide to return it. WRT to the puckers, they're so consistent that I think they may be intentional, but along with the shiny fabric, the top comes off looking cheap, so I wasn't tempted to try to find a reason to keep it.

As to functionality, someone else can comment on that, since I never wore it after trying it on.

At first I thought this shirt would be stiff and bulky, but now that I have worn it a few times I really like it. I still wish it were just a little stretchier and the fabric was slightly more flexible, but the fit is great and it is very comfortable and warm. It layers well over a smooth lightweight long underwear shirt and also feels great right against my skin. I have worn it mostly over a light baselayer for hiking in cool weather. It fits well under a heavier fleece or jacket too.

I have a few of these tops--they're great. I get cold easily, and these, combined with other layers, keep me cozy in the outdoors. I have found they're also great to sleep in at home on chilly nights. Aethetically I'm not a fan of the mildy shiny fabric, but functionally they're great.

I was looking for something a little lighter than a jacket but more substantial than a shirt to wear when it gets a little chilly in the california nights. This is perfect. It keeps me warm when the sun goes down but I can also wear it during the day without getting too hot (perfect as a 'jacket' in 45-65 degree weather). It also fits great. I'm kind of petite (5'3" and about 105lbs) and a lot of the outdoor brands don't sell tops that are small enough to fit me right...I got an XS and it's perfect. Couldn't be happier.
