I LOVE this jacket! I live in the Minneapolis, MN area and use it primarily for walking and mountain biking.

I have worn it in temperatures ranging from -5F/-20C to about 45F/7C. It gets pretty warm when it's in the 40s so I wouldn't wear it above that. I always wear a thin long-sleeve moisture wicking shirt but don't have to add fleece until the temperature is below 20F/-7C, the underarm vents are usually open until then too. Whenever I have to come in because I'm cold it is because of my feet, hands, or face, never my upper body.

If you keep moving, you will be warm.

I've been on a couple of bike rides in light rain and snow and stayed dry. It doesn't claim to be windproof but does a really good job against it anyway. The longest I've worn it while exercising has been 2 hours straight. Once while biking in the 30s and once while walking and the temp was just below 0.

There are many little things about this jacket that help make it excellent:
--numerous pockets inside and out
--pocket zippers that pull up instead of down so things are less likely to fall out
--right pocket has a clip to attach your keys to
--the drawstrings along the waist and hood really help keep it warm when it is freezing out
--I've used the hood instead of a hat for short walks when the temp is in the 20s

It would be better if the jacket had some reflective surfaces but I'm not docking any stars since they never claimed to. One thing that annoys me though is there are no washing instructions included or online, at least that I can find, so I've been washing it in the gentle cycle with Dreft and air drying it. So far, so good.

Bottom line: I'm bordering on giddy that I bought this thing.

Washing instruction hiding behind waist band. Machine wash cold.
The Omniheat materal doesn't seem durable... might not last too long if machine dry too often.
