3-in-1 versatility makes the Columbia Erudite™ waterproof jacket an excellent choice for a mixed bag of winter weather.

Fully seam-taped Omni-Tech® nylon shell provides waterproof, breathable performance and high abrasion resistance
Quick-drying, partially recycled polyester lining with polyester mesh eases layering and adds breathability and moisture management
Adjustable storm hood keeps your noggin warm and dry in a snowstorm; hood removes when you don't want it
Powder skirt seals out cold air and snow, retaining valuable heat; powder skirt snaps out of your way when not in use
Underarm venting allows cool airflow as you become more active
Features rip-and-stick adjustable cuffs and quick draw hem cord to seal out the elements

I bought this jacket last year as a last-second purchase before a snowboarding trip because it fit well and was on sale (originally [$], but now [$] is baseline). I had debated exchanging it, but it worked out so well that I'm glad I kept it. A year later, I am still amazed at how warm I stayed with nothing but the jacket and a single layer underneath (underarmer, or even just long johns). The lack of bulk allows for easy movement, and no puffy marshmallow look. I take the liner out on chilly fall days for a very classy, casual look, and it's even rather waterproof. I can throw the shell over business clothes for rainy days of all temps.My only complaint is that the buttons that snap the snowskirt closed do not hold tight enough on mine, so a nasty spill would pop em loose and I'd find snow down my pants for a rude awakening. But I'm quite certain it's just on mine, and a rather trivial complaint anyway. I'm happy with an investment that is certain to last me for many winters

I got the Columbia jacket as a gift from my girlfriend last Christmas. I was amazed how warm and comfortable it was. Also, the pockets! There are so many with plenty of space hidden compartments. The liner is a plus and both the liner and jacket can be worn separately depending on the weather and specific personal need. I would definitely recommend this jacket to a friend and thank my girlfriend all the time. The jacket goes well with ski bibbs which was nice during the skiing months.

I like this jacket because it fits all my needs for its design. I normally wear a medium but bought a large so I can move and jump without feeling constricted. You get a pretty good product for its price!

Bought this as replacement for another Columbia 3 in 1 jacket that at 20 years old, had lost its wind and waterproofing. I get 2XL for sleeve length and room for layers, and this was the first jacket that had those features but didn't make me feel like I was in a boxy jacket. Love the pockets everywhere, and the 'liner' jacket is stylish and very comfortable in and of itself. Also like the more moderate price, but the truth is that the fit was better in this Columbia than the others (including Northface) that I tried on. Very good value!
