Comments about Outdoor Research Sensor Gloves:
I received these gloves as a gift at the end of November and have waited to post a review in order to really test them out. So far I have worn these gloves for everything from running to cycling to mountain biking to hiking to walking my dog. They are warm, fit well, very comfortable, and I have used them with my Droid for everything from making calls to sending text messages and have even used them to compose and respond to email on my iPad, which is a breeze because all ten fingers work on these things.
The amount of insulation is just right, they are definitely windproof and the functionality of Touchtec leather in the palms is AMAZING. These gloves work as good, if not better, than my fingers on the touchscreens. This is actually my fourth pair of touchscreen compatible gloves and I can honestly say these gloves are light-years ahead of the other gloves I have owned, and I mean light-years. Of course, leave it to Outdoor Research to come up with something head and shoulders above everyone else, right?
Not only do I recommend them, I have given 6 pair as gifts and everyone shares my enthusiasm for these gloves. I would like to say something negative about these gloves, but can't think of anything off hand. While they are more expensive than some of the other touchscreen compatible gloves, the cost is justified. You get what you pay for. The only question I have about them is how they work without using dots, patches or threads like the others I have owned. Trust me though, they really do work!
Kudos to OR...

Comments about Outdoor Research Sensor Gloves:
These are fantastic gloves. No compromises here. You get to keep your fingers warm and still answer your phone, make reservations, or any other thing you use your smartphone tablet for. Very impressed with the build and feel. I would say these are far and away my favorite gloves.

Comments about Outdoor Research Sensor Gloves:
I notice these gloves got great reviews elsewhere, so I bought a pair in the REI store yesterday. I briefly tried them on in the store and they seemed ok, but once I really started using them, I noticed the fit was WAY off. I've never had a pair of gloves not fit right, but these were too short in the index finger and WAY too long in the thumb. There was nearly a 3/4" of extra material at the end of each thumb! It was as if the leather portion was not sewn in correctly. And to make matters worse, I actually got a small cut on my finger, presumably from the edge of the leather part inside.
That being said, they worked quite well on my iPhone. But because of the oversized thumbs, it was hard to be precise.
I think I may have gotten a defective pair, and I will be returning them. It would be a good product if it weren't for what I assume is a bad quality-control issue. But because of that, I do NOT recommend this product.

Comments about Outdoor Research Sensor Gloves:
I would recommend these to someone who wanted nice warm gloves in the cold of winter. Feel good, fit well, keep the heat in, and would make great liners to shell gloves for winter activities.
