Comments about Novara Express 2.0 Bike Jacket - Men's:
Good jacket for cold weather. Too hot above 50 degrees. I'm soaking inside the jacket, even with it unzipped.

Comments about Novara Express 2.0 Bike Jacket - Men's:
I originally purchased this jacket for commuting in wet weather. The first few months it held up nicely and kept me dry. But the main problem with it was that it did not last more than a few months. The seams started leaking on my shoulders and than the inner layer started peeling off. Obviously when it rained on me it became less efficient in keeping dry.

One extra pocket is all that is needed to make this more versatile for everyday commuting walk, bike, or just running errands. Cell phone pocket is above average and keeps mobile phone dry.

Comments about Novara Express 2.0 Bike Jacket - Men's:
Greater outer layer to wear with warmer under layers on rainy and windy rides in the 30's or 40's. Less inside condensation build up than other rain jackets in this price range. Good for making you visible to traffic.

Comments about Novara Express 2.0 Bike Jacket - Men's:
I bought the jacket a couple of days before the Chilly Hilly ride around Bainbridge Island this year and it worked out perfect. Although the temperature was lingering in the lower 40s with strong winds around the coast around Point White Dr, the jacket served me well and kept me relatively warm for the ride.
I'm sure to use this during my commutes around early spring.

Comments about Novara Express 2.0 Bike Jacket - Men's:
I've been looking for a while for a good waterproof jacket for the Winter Storms that roll through the Bay Area. Our winters are mild, so for the most part it's just important to keep the water out and let the sweat out. So good ventilation is a must.
On the face of it, this jacket has it all. It looks good enough you could wear it 'off the bike'. It has decent cuff tensioners, it's made of durable, but flexible fabric. Chest Pocket for your SmartPhone, close fitting collar. It also has excellent venting that covers the back up to the neck and under the arms.
However field tests in this weeks storms have proved it not to be water proof. My chest was soaked with rain (not sweat) on a showery hour commute. The design flaw seems to be the flap at the front. i.e. that it doesn't have a fastner at the top. Thus the zip pushes the flap open, the wind and rain do the rest. My iPhone also had water on it, even though it was safely secure in the chest pocket.
"Jacket is waterproof and windproof to 60 mph for riding back and forth to work and for relaxed weekend rides" - great marketing, poor execution on it.

Comments about Novara Express 2.0 Bike Jacket - Men's:
Bought this jacket for my daily commute. I live in Chicago, so I get all kinds of weather. Haven't ridden through a hardcore deluge yet, but this jacket does a great job in light to moderate rain. I should say that my commute is short (approx. 2.5 miles), so I can't comment on how it holds up after hours in the rain. Nonetheless, the jacket does what I want it to: look good, cover my butt, and keep me dry.
I am 5'8 160 lbs. and the medium fits me great. The butt is longer so that you don't get a rooster tail in the rain, and the sleeves are long so that they dont creep up if you stretch out on your bike.
My only complaint is the positioning of the zipper on the back pocket, which digs into my back when I wear my backpack. Other than that, this is a solid jacket.

Comments about Novara Express 2.0 Bike Jacket - Men's:
I wear this highly reflective jacket during my morning commute to work; I choose not to wear it in the late afternoon because of the lack of true breathability. The jacket is versatile enough to prevent the morning chill from getting through and light enough to not feel as if it retains too much sweat. If there was a model that would allow the arms to be removed, then I would give it 5+ stars (if I could).

I use this for commuting and the occasional weekend ride. It was fantastic for winter riding because it didn't breathe well enough to let the heat escape. Kept me dry every time. Not sure how warm weather showers will be yet?
