Bought this jacket for my daily commute. I live in Chicago, so I get all kinds of weather. Haven't ridden through a hardcore deluge yet, but this jacket does a great job in light to moderate rain. I should say that my commute is short (approx. 2.5 miles), so I can't comment on how it holds up after hours in the rain. Nonetheless, the jacket does what I want it to: look good, cover my butt, and keep me dry.

I am 5'8 160 lbs. and the medium fits me great. The butt is longer so that you don't get a rooster tail in the rain, and the sleeves are long so that they dont creep up if you stretch out on your bike.

My only complaint is the positioning of the zipper on the back pocket, which digs into my back when I wear my backpack. Other than that, this is a solid jacket.

I wear this highly reflective jacket during my morning commute to work; I choose not to wear it in the late afternoon because of the lack of true breathability. The jacket is versatile enough to prevent the morning chill from getting through and light enough to not feel as if it retains too much sweat. If there was a model that would allow the arms to be removed, then I would give it 5+ stars (if I could).

I use this for commuting and the occasional weekend ride. It was fantastic for winter riding because it didn't breathe well enough to let the heat escape. Kept me dry every time. Not sure how warm weather showers will be yet?

Overall, this is a great jacket. I keep it in my commute backpack in good weather, and break it out as shell when it gets chilly or wet. It's also great in that it's highly visible without making you look like a lost crossing guard.

I don't do long rides in heavy rain, so I can't vouch for how it works in those conditions. But for a quick sprint home, it's great. The previous reviewer is correct -- it doesn't breathe very well. Fine when you're getting warmed up, but after 10 minutes, a little steamy. If you're doing long hard rides, I'd opt for a more advanced jacket.

One downside: the cuffs are quite large. Even tightened up, some air can sneak up the sleeves.

I have carried this jacket in my saddle pack on my daily commute for 1-1/2 years now. It holds up well to the wear while in the pack, as well as when dawned during frequent showers and daily use during months of cold/freezing winter weather. The jackets is perfectly wind and water proof, even under the harshest of winter conditions in the Virginia mountains. My only complaint is that while the back vent offers some moisture relief from sweat, the water tight material gets quite swampy on long rides, however it has done well to keep me protected even at -20 degree wind chill (with a thermal fleece underneath, of course).
