The Patagonia 3-in-1 Snowshot jacket lets you stay in constant motion in the backcountry and within bounds with its waterproof, breathable protection.

Rugged, 2-layer polyester shell with H2No® waterproof, breathable coating provides all-weather protection
Removable liner jacket features 60g Thermogreen insulation that stays warm even when wet; zip it into the shell jacket for serious warmth or wear it solo as weather permits
Thermogreen synthetic insulation in quilted liner jacket is made from 90% recycled materials
Polyester mesh lining moves moisture away from your body and glides easily over base layers
Removable, 2-way adjustable hood (helmet-compatible) promotes natural neck movement and peripheral vision; neck gasket seals cold air away from body
Patagonia Snowshot jacket features generous pit zips to dump excess heat quickly; articulated arms allow full range of motion
Adjustable powder skirt helps seal out snow and offers webbing loops to connect to compatible ski and snowboard pants
Pockets include 2 zippered handwarmer pockets, 1 chest pocket (holds electronic device and cable routing) and 1 interior pocket with a zippered stash
Drawcord hem with cordlocks seals out drafts and adjusts via the front pockets; rip-and-stick cuffs adjust comfortably around wrists
All exterior zippers on the Patagonia 3-in-1 Snowshot jacket are treated with a Deluge Durable Water Repellent finish for water resistance and quick drying

This is my primary ski shell here in Colorado. It is perfect for this: zip out liner (not primaloft though), pit zips, waterproof, zip off hood, good collar cut. It fits true to size, and functions with other Patagonia gear (snowskirt, and ties into Pants). Colors are always a little goofy with Patagonia. Either a down liner, or PrimaLoft would make this jacket perfect.
