Providing pure performance, the Shimano Dura-Ace WH-7900-C24-CL wheelset mixes carbon fiber and aluminum to maximize handling, acceleration and climbing performance.

  • Thin-walled aluminum rims are laminated with carbon fiber to create lightweight, fast-accelerating wheels that offer the best of both materials
  • 24mm deep rim profile offers all-around performance, moderate aeordynamics and reduced susceptibility to crosswinds while keeping weight low for superb climbing
  • 22mm rim width enhances ride quality by increasing tire contact patch area and helping improve cornering
  • Rear rim utilizes asymmetric shape to maximize strength and durability
  • Both rims feature wear indicators and milled braking surfaces to improve friction; rim joints are welded for exceptional strength and durability
  • Light and strong titanium freehub body is 8-, 9- and 10-speed compatible and has been optimized for faster engagement, delivering your power to the wheel faster
  • Easy bearing adjustment allows tool-free tuning of the compression of the bearings for quick performance optimization
  • Labrynth-seals reduce friction and make it hard for contaminants to get in, improving efficiency and durability
  • 16/20 butted and bladed stainless-steel spokes are laced radially on the front wheel, 2-cross on the rear wheel
  • The Shimano Dura-Ace WH-7900-C24-CL wheelset comes with quick-release skewers and rim tape; 100mm front and 130mm rear axle spacing
  • Please note: these wheels are clincher-compatible only, with a recommended tire width of 19 - 25mm; there is no rider weight limit for Shimano wheels

Comments about Shimano Dura-Ace WH-7900-C24-CL Wheelset:

Replaced a set of R 500 shimono with a set of these. Lost A pound and a half with this wheel set. They roll smooth and fast. The only thing, I found as a set back was getting use to the handling. The rims are light compared to the old ones. Any poor body english will show up quickly. Can't wait to see how my Triathlon times change.

Comments about Shimano Dura-Ace WH-7900-C24-CL Wheelset:

I purchased these wheels 4 months ago and have about 2000 miles on them. I ride about 3000 miles/year on my road bike (12 yr old steel frame). Most of the miles have been climbing & descending on chip seal and rough pavement. I'm not a racer and generally cautious on descents. My previous wheels were Dura Ave hubs w/ Mavic open pro rims. I've also had Dura Ace aero wheels on the bike (until the rims cracked).

It hurt when I wrote the check for these wheels, but I have no regrets now about the purchase.

The wheels have a comfortable ride, they are responsive, they accelerate nicely, and they descend great (my max speeds are now 3-4 mph faster and I use the brakes less because I feel more confident on the wheels).

The only negative I have is that I don't care for the graphics. I rated these 4 stars because I reserve 5 stars for things that I want to buy a second in case the company quits making the product.
