I bought this for travel in wet climates, and my first trip was a week of rain in the Bay area. The coat kept me totally dry and warm in wind and rain, while others were soaked through. The heat reflecting lining allows you to wear only a light layer underneath, so it is not bulky and you can move easily. I got constant comments on how attractive and well fitting it is. It sheds the water, consequently it dries quickly. The hood is warm and easily adjusted to pull as tightly or loosely as you want around the face, and it has a little "awning" over your face. It is everything I could hope for, and beautifully made. Perfect combo of attractive and practical for a variety of settings and purposes--city and country.

This coat is PERFECT. I live in Seattle so it's wet a lot, and I've been wanting a coat like this for years. It's water proof; it has a large hood (usually coats don't have a big enough hood); it has a belt; and it goes to my knees (I'm 5'2"), so when I'm walking around in the rain/drizzle, my thighs aren't soaked. The only drawback (and I don't know if this was by design or not) is that the hood cords don't have any sort of latching mechanism, so if you're trying to make it smaller so it won't flip off your head in the wind, they won't stay. I usually put the cords around some of the buttons on the lapels so it's not really an issue, but I thought that was a weird design thing.

I bought this coat because I was looking for something that was warm, water resistant and for the wind. I liked the idea of it having the onmi-heat technology in it to keep in my body heat while keeping me dry and happy for the most part. It looks amazing on, this is a great looking coat, it has a zip part and then you can button it up, the neck and shoulders fit great, as does the hood. And it's super light weight, you could wear this thing all year.

Sadly my body has problems producing regular body heat and I couldn't get the coat to actually warm me up and get the omni-heat working to do it's thing, I'm sure on anyone without central nervous system problems this should work just fine.
So I had to return this one. :( I really liked this coat too.
