I really like this soft shell; I lost a similar one a few months ago and decided to buy this one as a replacement. The construction is top-notch: the outer shell is a combination of slightly stretchy material on the undersides of the arms and what appears to be ripstop nylon on top. It keeps water out quite well; I'm able to walk around in a full downpour for about 30 min before the water starts to soak through. This is a softshell, so I think it's impressive that it works so well. It's comfortable and fits well, but it's not very insulated. Be prepared to wear some layers if the temperature drops below 35. Overall, a great softshell and I would buy it again.

I've used this jacket for skiing, hiking, and everyday use. It fits well and does a great job with warmth. I would say the only con is that it doesn't have any vents under the arms. Those would be nice for long hikes when you start to heat up.

Got this on sale, and I am very impressed by the construction quality, and fit. Even the pocket locations, etc. are better than old softshells I have owned.

The primary drawback is that even with 'angel wing' movement, the lack of a drop hem makes biking and skiing non-ideal activities for this jacket.

I would recommend, but with exceptions on use.

This is the first true softshell I've owned, and I will always own one from now on. I found it on clearance at a local REI, and between the clearance price, 25% off friends/family coupon, and part of my dividend, it came about to about $75. For that price, absolutely worth it. For [$], I don't think it would be worth it. It's a great jacket, but I don't think its worth [$]. The fit is slim, athletic, the size small fits well, but its short in the torso. The arms are a good length, the chest fits well (I'm skinny, 5'10", 150 lbs), but the armpits are a bit tight as well. I usually don't get too cold, even in sub 20 or 30 degree utah winters, but the wind cuts through normal hoodies and fleeces and things like that, causing some chills, but with this jacket, it completely cuts the wind out, keeping me pretty warm. It's great, the windstopper is a great product. Overall, I love this jacket, and especially if you can find it for a good price. Its extremely solidly constructed, and will last quite a while. Much better than the REI performance fleece I used for similar things before.
