Comments about Mountain Hardwear Exposure Rain Parka - Men's:
Bought this for everyday wear for hiking, camping, walking dogs. Very comfortable and feels like quality materials and finish. Believe it will hold up well in all weather conditions. Should work well as a shell with layers underneath or stand alone for rain/not as cold conditions.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Exposure Rain Parka - Men's:
This is the most amazing jacket i have ever owned. From the moment i put it on temperature regulation and breathability was amazing beyond anything i could have ever hoped for. Regardless of activity level i was always perfectly comfortable.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Exposure Rain Parka - Men's:
First the fit: This jacket doesn't fit like most of the Mountain Hardware jackets I have tried. Much bigger. I ordered the medium(5'7" 180 lbs) which is my normal size. Jacket fit was roomy but not too big. I could wear a small down jacket under it easily. It is an old school American medium, not a modern European slim cut medium. If you are skinny, this jacket will eat you whole unless you order a size smaller than normal.
Next the function: This jacket kept the cold and rain out and I never even had to think about using the pit zips. The jacket breathes great. It also looks good, has well placed zippers, and feels like quality construction without being overly heavy.
I love this jacket and highly recommend it.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Exposure Rain Parka - Men's:
Purchased to replace a worn out MH shell. First real test was on a March hike in Bryce Canyon National Park. With proper layering, it served me very well in temperatures down to 20 degrees. A bit heavy, however it is a parka after all!

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Exposure Rain Parka - Men's:
I've only had the Mountain Hardwear Exposure Rain Parka a month or so and it hasn't been really tested in the nasty weather I had purchased this for. It did rain a couple times when wearing and it kept me dry, but it wasn't a deluge or bad storm. What I can say though is it is suprising light and roomy. I'm 6'2" and 260# and it is difficult to find quality outdoor apparel for big guys. The 2XL jacket I have is extremely comfortable in the chest and shoulder area allowing full range of motion for my arms including when wearing my backpack. The jacket is cut generously so that I am able to wear heavy thermal layers underneath when necessary, and still have room to move. To me the Mountain Hardwear Exposure Rain Parka is lighter and more comfortable than the rain parka I had before, which lasted 8 years, and the ones I tried on before purchasing this jacket. The only reason I didn't give this jacket 5 stars (Perfect rating) is to me nothing is perfect. But this is one excellant parka.

This jacket is very well thought out. Pockets, vents, drawstrings are excellent.
I like the finish on the jacket. I just hope I clean it properly. Durable Water Repellant is very good at several week of use.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Exposure Rain Parka - Men's:
Just took this jacket out doing some fieldwork in the Cascades. It was pouring down rain with pretty gusty winds all day, not to mention I was working on a stream. Everything else but what was under this jacket was entirely saturated. The jacket held up great, even through some pretty thick brush. It is breathable enough, but don't expect it to wick sweat away or anything. It is, unlike many waterproof jackets, actually waterproof. Not a single drop of rain got in. I was very warm and cozy, something I'm never used to in weather like this. The only drawback I could see is that it is a bit bulky compared to other shells. I personally don't mind the tiny bit of extra weight considering the quality of the product.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Exposure Rain Parka - Men's:
What an excellent shell! Pretty much the jacket Mountain Hardwear claims. This is a spot on jacket for the Pacific Northwest where I live. Very waterproof and breath's well. I will pack this jacket with me as I travel many places in U.S. I typically put the M.H.Exposure over my Patagonia down filled sweater when the temperatures drop into the forties. The Patagonia sweater stays dry and warm. Although one might say "it is slightly heavy for backpacking," I would say, "A little extra weight for such a high quality shell is worth a little tradeoff." This is a five star shell very good for backpacking into the wilderness!

I love this jacket, breathable, comfortable, kept me dry during driving rains, hood fits very well. Fits well with and without a fleece under it, lots of pockets. My new all purpose jacket.
