Comments about Mountain Hardwear Chillwave Down Jacket - Women's:

This jacket is awesome. It's expensive, but awesome. It doesn't look too puffy or annoying for casual wear and you can still move in it. I don't do any deep outdoorsy stuff, so I'm not sure how it would perform there. But I'm sure it would do well. One of the best things is that it is long in the back. I can bend over with out it exposing my lower back (this is wonderful)! The sleeves ride up a bit when you move your arms, but nothing too crazy. Something I found really cool was it has two little pockets to hide the hood Velcro flap things. The hood felt sloppy until I realized I could tuck those things in. Now the hood is just hiding behind my head without feeling like I have two blinders on.

I thought about getting the Mountain Hardwear Hunker Down Parka, but it wasn't constructed as nicely and didn't feel as "I will own this jacket and be pleased with it forever" as the Chillwave. Although, it is $100 less, I wasn't into compromising overall satisfaction for savings. Also, I've always wanted a really nice down jacket and I'm really pleased I went with this one. It feels more useful and timeless. I haven't tried it out in the cold, cold weather yet because it isn't quite winter. But crazily enough, I can't wait for it to get cold so I can test it out. 4/5 because, well, with everything there is always room for some improvement-- but this jacket is rad, rad, rad!
