Comments about REI Fitness Pants - Women's:

I bought these pants to use for my gym classes - spinning, zumba, etc - because it is very difficult to find well-made pants with a drawstring these days. They are extremely comfortable and look great on, and the material is comfortable and not too thick (a fear I had when ordering.)

For the price, they are well designed and well-made, with one exception: the drawstring. I have two complaints about it. First, the aglet on the drawstring is metal. They are not cheap metal, but I can still occasionally feel it scratching my skin, since it is an "internal" drawstring. Second, the string is a slippery sort of material and, despite being tied when I wash and dry it, will almost always untie and retreat into the waistband, which causes a lot of hassle when I'm running late for a class.

Comments about REI Fitness Pants - Women's:

I use these pants for jogging and occasional rock climbing. They are comfortable, allow wonderful freedom of movement, and they are quite durable. In addition to the usual wear and tear, they pants have also endured many friendly "attacks" from my exercise partner- a golden retriever who constantly jumps on me with muddy paws and sharp nails.

The only downside to these pants is that I had trouble finding the perfect size for me, and the ones I purchased slip while I'm running. I am 5'1", 120 pounds and bought a petite medium. (The regular small was way too tight, and the regular medium was too loose). They sit below my natural waist, and slide down a little bit as I jog. They haven't fallen off me or anything, but I do feel rather self conscious as I have to constantly tug them up while exercising.
