Comments about Marmot Lindsey Component 3-in-1 Insulated Jacket - Women's:
I bought this for skiing in CO. Wore it today for the first day of skiing temps in 20s and this jacket was not warm. The cheap fur like liner made the jacket a complete pain. It bunches at the cuffs and sags at the collar and drags on your clothes when you try to take it off and the sleeves turn inside out. I either have to ditch the liner and wear another jacket underneath or buy a new winter ski jacket and wear the shell of this for spring skiing. Will wear the liner with my PJs. For me, a big waste of money.

Comments about Marmot Lindsey Component 3-in-1 Insulated Jacket - Women's:
I got this as an upgrade, from Marmot, when because of style changes they were unable to sell me just a new shell for my old component jacket.
Generally, a big thumbs up. I really liked the old jacket with it's lightweight shell of what appeared to be rip-stop nylon impregnated with some kind of silicone - but then push came to shove, it took a lot of damage as I wore it to death. The new version is a tougher outer fabric with a lighter lining - first impression is that it feels breathable, but that it's also a lot less likely to get frayed and punctured from... well, the kind of treatment I will almost certainly dish out. (What can I say? I'm hard on my clothes.)
The inner liner is soft fuzzy fleece, as in OMG, it's so soft and fuzzy, I will wear it by itself all the time. It still remains to be seen whether the two put together are in fact going to be as warm as my old component jacket - the marmot rep said yes, and I'm certainly willing to run the experiment. Oh, and it covers my butt a lot more than the old liner did - but then, I also didn't wear the old liner by itself much.
They've also made a lot of small design improvements (in addition to the tougher shell, and I'm so in favor of the tougher shell). The pockets zip up, rather than down, so you can have them half zipped (say, with your hands in) and still have things not fall out. There is no longer the annoying piece of velcro holding down the pocket flap. For that matter, they've gone for the sealed waterproof style zippers rather than a zipper flap. And more pockets. There are two metal grommets near the top of the main pockets whose function I can not divine, but hey.
The fit is okay, but not quite perfect - a tiny bit tight across my chest and deltoids. Not a surprise - I'm on both the chesty and muscular side for a woman (no, seriously, daddy was a linebacker...) and it basically fits, which many women's jackets don't. I'm pretty sure I'm pleased to have gone with the women's rather than the unisex this time - I like the trimmer line.

Comments about Marmot Lindsey Component 3-in-1 Insulated Jacket - Women's:
I loved the fit of the coat! However, I could not get past the fact that I simply felt...bored by it! I didn't realize I would feel like a giant rock wearing this coat (outer shell is black, but looks like a dark grey). I simply do not feel sexy or stylish when it's on me. I was hoping for a deep, rick black (like my Denali ), but instead I got a dusty grey -- which did not make me want to bike longer or climb higher. I know...what is a coat but something to keep you warm?? But for the cost of this coat, I would also hope to feel feminine and warm at the same time. This coat gets a "blah" on style! And the small metal studs on teh front have not function and just look weird! And to think... I youtubed this coat to see what it looked like and how it would fit before I bought it!
