it was getting cool outside, i needed something to run in that would keep me warm on fall/winter days, or at least to use a good layering item. I really like this shirt, fits good, "works" like it should, but the material itself...not so good.

i've washed it now about 4 or 5 times, and since it's last wash (with the same types of clothes i've washed it in before) it has developed at lease 75 snags in the material. it still works, but a) it looks rediculous and b) i'm hoping it doesn't disintigrate.

I didn't want to take it off during 10 days in Whistler. In 50-60 degrees F, in and out of drizzle, I was very comfortable on trail or bike, the hood up in the breeze. Also possible to sip 5-rings IPA while wearing. I'm on-line now buying another one.

I just got back from a backpack trip on the Great Divide trail outside Jasper, Alberta (Canada)where we had bugs (before it dropped to 20 degrees) the first night and snow the rest of the trip. This shirt more than paid for itself. When the bugs came, I popped up the hoodie and got relief. Same when it got chilly that evening. I slept in it and used the hoodie instead of resorting to a wool hat as the temps dropped. I also hiked in it for the next three days, using the hoodie under my hiking hat whenever it snowed or got windy. The only downside is you look pretty dorky with the hoodie up because it is a snug oval around your face.

Bought this product before AT Hike. It was will worth it. Provided ample protection in the weather either brisk wind or just outright cold. Found myself sleeping in hoodie during the night instead of a wool cap. I am ordering more online. Actually couple of other people on the trip have made mention that they are going to buy one as well.

I use this when running on Fall days. I have found that while it is not windproof it cuts the wind down enough to make a difference. I like that I can put a light compression shirt, a cold gear type t-shirt, or a long sleeve cold gear shirt under it as necessary for the conditions. The arm pocket is great for holding my house keys. The hood keeps my ears just warm enough on brisk days.

This shirt has nearly frayed through on the left sleeve along my biceps on the inside after less than 2 hours of use. I have never experienced this with a shirt in 20 years of running.
I am skinny, but did have a layer on under it. This fabric can't take any chafing at all and also snags very easily. Don't use it on trails with intruding vegetation.
