The North Face Kira Triclimate 3-in-1 women's jacket precludes the need to come inside for extra layers.

Wear the shell jacket and liner jacket together for maximum protection or wear either piece alone as conditions warrant
Fully seam-taped nylon shell jacket uses HyVent™ 2-layer coating for waterproof, breathable protection
Body features polyester mesh lining to wick away moisture; solid taffeta in sleeves eases layering
Detachable hood is fully adjustable to ensure a weather-blocking, personalized fit
Features zippered front handwarmer pockets for chilly hands, chest pocket and forearm pocket with goggles cloth
Interior zip security pocket holds cash, ID, phone and other accessories; internal goggles pouch safely stows goggles or sunglasses
Gripper powder skirt with shock cords keeps snow out; snow pants attachment loops keep skirt in place for a seamless fit
The North Face Kira Triclimate shell has adjustable cuffs and a drawcord hem to help seal out snow and cold air while retaining warmth
Zip in/out polyester liner jacket features zippered handwarmer pockets, an internal media pocket, elastic cuffs and an adjustable hem to hold in warmth
Liner jacket has Heatseeker™ Eco insulation, 100% recycled polyester fibers, for great warmth that is extremely resilient, water repellent and hypoallergenic

I bought this jacket for a winter trip to China and it was perfect. While climbing the Great Wall I wore all the pieces. In Chingdu I enjoyed the outer layer because of the rain and when in Hong Kong the weather was mild so I wore the inner layer. My husband was stuck with his ski jacket. He's getting a NorthFace for Christmas this year. I also loved all the pockets to stash money, passports, room keys etc.
This year I try skiing but that should be easy after that trip.

I bought this jacket six years ago, and I can tell you that I have taken it everywhere and used it for just about everything. I used it while living in Spain, backpacking in California, skiing in Colorado, trekking across Europe in early spring, and walking to class while college in the Deep South. The pieces are easy to connect and take apart, and the quality is top notch. Every member of my family now owns this jacket... it's that good.

Bought the jacket for a ski trip to Colorado, and it was the best money I spent on gear. We had wind gusts of 60+ miles per hour (causing lifts to be shut down), but the jacket worked its magic. It really is windproof. AND it breathes! I never felt too hot in the jacket except when I was inside. It also kept me dry when I wiped out. My only complaint is that the arms don't have as much flex space as I'd like, but the restriction is minor and didn't affect my skiing. I was so happy with my jacket that my husband insisted on going to REI in Colorado to get himself a similar jacket.

3 coats in 1 and I use them all. Sometimes in the same day! This coat was made for this area and me! I would love to see this coat in sage green, drab yellow, burnt orange, dark red.
