The North Face Baker Delux women's jacket is decked out with a fully waterproof shell, quilted insulation and ample utility pockets, wand fancy pinstripes for a stylish finish.

Breathable, waterproof 2-layer coated HyVent® herringbone shell fabric keeps you dry in snowy, wet conditions
Fully taped seams create the ultimate seal against wind and snow
100% recycled polyester fiber insulation (100g in body, 80g in sleeves/hood) for soft, cozy warmth that's extremely resilient, water repellent and hypoallergenic
Quilted satin and embossed taffeta lining helps wick away moisture, dries fast and eases layering
Adjustable, removable hood protects you in inclement weather; stylish faux fur is removable
Zippered underarm vents let you quickly control core temperature, expelling excess body heat as needed during high activity

I bought this coat mostly for casual use, but I do plan to use it skiing and snowboarding. It's warm without being bulky. It's washable. The zipper comes up around the face so you don't need a scarf until it's very cold. The hood is adjustable so you can put big headphones underneath or wear it more snug. The fur is removable if it gets wet. The media pocket doesn't really fit my old iPhone with bulky silicone case, but that's not a deal breaker. It's a great winter coat!

This jacket was purchased as a gift for my girlfriend and it has proven to be exceptional. We have been snowboarding in 20 degree weather and she stays warm with only a fleece underneath. It is very durable and lightweight, both of which are ideal for a snowboarding jacket.

I love this jacket! I just got back from 10 days in Alaska and the jacket kept me comfortably warm with proper layering underneath. Temps were only in the teens to twenties, but with a bit of a wind it seemed fairly cold. I like the extra wrist sleeves which helped really seal up the sleeves under gloves. The length is perfect. I love the look of all the pockets and the extra sleeve pocket was very useful to keep my camera warm to save the battery and accessible when I wanted to take a picture. When the jacket is zipped up fully, the collar is tall. I am ok with it, cause I hate having a cold neck. The fabric inside the collar is very soft. I ended up taking the hood off because it wasn't needed. It did seem oversized when I tried it on after I got it. Other then the hood, everything about this jacket is awesome!

I don't want to totally rip this jacket - it just didn't work for me. I am 5'9" tall, size 10 in jeans, size 12 in top - chesty. I ordered an XL because I like to be able to layer clothes underneath. This jacket was HUGE on me. The powder skirt was even too big. It is super cute, but a little "thin" for skiing. I think it would work well for snowboarding, but I needed something really warm for those super cold MN days.

It has already been returned.
