Comments about Scape Athlete Sunblock Lotion SPF 50 - 4 fl. oz.:
After growing up in Palm Springs (summer temperatures in excess of 115 degrees), using sunscreen is second nature for me.
I've tried a multitude of different sunscreens from different manufactures--all were satisfactory. Yet when faced with Ladder Canyon in Palm Springs and several San Diego hikes that last longer than 4 hours (in 90-110 degree temps), Scape seemed an obvious route to try.
It blew me away. The product sells on being "truly" waterproof. It is. Even during application it wasn't easy to rub all the way in. Then when I attempted to wash it off my hands, water alone didn't work. I had to use soap to get the rest off.
I sweat. A LOT. 90 degree hike for five hours. I was soaked through and through. Never ran into my eyes and didn't reapply once. Better yet: I never once felt clammy or clogged. My skin breathed wonderfully. After the hike and back home, my companions were all sunburned--despite using other "waterproof" sunscreens. I however, was not in the least. Combined with my 50 upf clothing, I didn't even have tan lines on my arms and face.
Utterly amazing product. Buy it and you'll love it anywhere. You won't even need to reapply after hours of use--in and out of the water.
