      I'm happy with this kayak and have survived my first speedboat induced 2 foot choppy freak wakes in it. I like that it's easy to get in and out and the seat is comfortable (I'm a plus sized chick). Water does get in because of the wider cockpit but that was my choice... I wanted a kayak where I felt I can easily get out of if it's capsized.

        I looked at 4 different stores and sat in a dozen kayaks before I chose this one. I love it. Other kayaks had narrower cockpits and I love the ease of getting in and out of this one. The longest time I've spent in it is 4 hrs straight and the seat was still comfortable!

        I do love my kayak, don't get me wrong. It's just that this one is a bit heavy and I notice that all of my kayaking buddies paddle ahead of me. This kayak handles very nicely but it seems to move so much more slowly than the other brands I see out there. On the plus side, this thing is not going to tip over, no matter what. I found myself out on the ocean in very treacherous conditions and the Prodigy handled very nicely. I never felt like I was going to fall in. So, when I look into buying my next kayak, it will have to be one that is easier for me to lift and one that is known for moving a bit faster in the water.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
