Comments about Dagger Axis 12 Kayak with Skeg:
After renting a few different Kayaks over the years I decided to buy this one in May 2011. My main reason was a comfortable seat. I am not disappointed to this day.
We have been kayaking on lakes and ocean sloughs and even tough we have been out for hours, my back rests comfortably in this adjustable seat.
The kayak tracks well with the Skeg down. It is also very maneuverable with the Skeg up. It is roomy and easy to get in and out. Stability is also very good. I found it to have plenty of room for my day trips and even for an overnight. For a multi day camping trip, this kayak would not have enough storage.
Overall I am very pleased and recommend it to anyone who wants a comfortable and well tracking Kayak

Comments about Dagger Axis 12 Kayak with Skeg:
This is my very first kayak I've ever owned and I love it! I'm a sucker for the Dagger brand :) It's a lot more comfortable than the rental-type craft I've paddled in Hawaii and out on Lake Union/Washington in Seattle. Great for flat rivers and lakes. Entry/exit is very easy. The craft is lightweight and stable. The retractable skeg provides sufficient directional stability. No rudder required for kayakers/paddlers who are experienced in steering with just the paddle alone.
I wish this came in blue and/or red too. The only downside was that I expected the rear hatch would be able to hold more cargo for extended days / kayak camping.
Excellent product/performance overall!

Comments about Dagger Axis 12 Kayak with Skeg:
Great for beginners or experienced paddlers. The boat gives a good combination of stability and manuverability, especially with drop skeg. The seat is very comfortable, the cockpit could use a small dry storage. We use it mostly on the river and it keeps up with our 14' and 15' kayaks, and you can get into places they can't.
