Polyester soft-shell exteriors resist moisture and breathe well; Durable Water Repellent finish sheds light snow and moisture

This will be the third winter I'm using these gloves. Last winter I XC skied using these gloves throughout the Fargo winter and was warm even in negative twenty degrees plus winds. On more than one occasion I chose to try my luck and use these gloves when on vacation snowboarding and found that they were waterproofed well enough to handle occasional falls and the wear and tear of getting in and out of boots and bindings. I'm finally writing a review because I need to buy another pair for my wife so that she stops stealing mine! I can't believe that I don't see more people in these, they're the best gloves out there.

I WOULD HAVE TO AGREE WITH THE STATEMENT BELOW SAYING NOT WARM.
IT MAKES NO SENCE TO ME WHY, BUT MY HANDS SEEM TO GET COLDER WITH THESE ON. THE ONLY WAY THEY KEEP HANDS WARM IS IF I AM WORKING UP A SWEAT ALREADY WHEN I PUT THEM ON, THEN THEY MAINTAIN THE HEAT. I HAVE TAKEN THESE ON SEVERAL SNOWSHOE TRIPS AND HAD TO PUT AN OUTER LAYER MITTIN OVER THEM TO KEEP MY FINGERS FROM FREEZING. TODAY WAS THE LAST STRAW 40* OUTSIDE AND MY HANDS FEEL LIKE ICE CUBES WHILE SLEDDING WITH KIDS AT THE PARK. NO WIND AND NOT WET. I AM GOING TO RETURN AND TRY MY LUCK ELSEWERE

This glove is not warm enough for even short outings in 30ish weather unless you are very active at the time. My wife and I both have these gloves and are uncomfortable over half-hour dog walks on lightly breezy 35F day. They are, however, fine while running in this weather.

Says waterproof...absolutely are NOT WATERPROOF. Hiked in rain in Patagonia with these and within an hour they are full of water, you could wring a cup of water out of the pair. Also virtually impossible to put on once your hands are slight wet due to the nature of the liner.

I am using these gloves heavily now since three months. I went skiing with them, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing and biking, next to "just wearing" them. They are holding up very well, show almost no signs of wear and tear, they have an excellent grip. Only when the weather gets pretty cold (about 0 degrees fahrenheit) my fingers are getting cold after about 20 minutes outside, but I guess every glove has its limits. Its a nive glove for this price for sure!

I have had these gloves for 3 years. I use them mostly for biking in winter. They can still get wet in pouring rain. For really cold days (around freezing) I wore glove liners with them and that was fine.
