My four year old daughter loves all of the cute pink toddler clothes that rei makes for little girls. However, she is very tall for her age and is now in kids sizes. I thought this jacket was great and fit her well BUT she is very much in an unfortunate priness phase and will only wear pink and purple. This was rejected because "blue is for boys". If anyone out there is reading it would be great to have this in a second "girly" color Sigh....

Comments about REI Salix Jacket - Girls':

This is a nice jacket and a more feminine that I was expecting based on the other review. The description says it's insulated, but it is quite thin. we're mostly using it as a shell for layering with insulating layers underneath. Our daughter is 5 and likes it quite a bit, we like that it is built like an adult jacket with all the features, but still fits her quite well. I wouldn't have paid full price, but was happy with the sale price.
