Comments about REI Windbrake Thermal Pants - Women's:
My husband and I both wear these pants for snowshoeing. We took them with us to Jackson, WY, and up to Yellowstone over Christmas. The temps ranged from sub-zero to mid 20s. Even without a base layer under these pants, we were warm while hiking. The inner lining is constructed very well - breathable, insulative - and the outer layer is soft and highly resistant to water. There are grommets at the leg bottom so that one could make these into "gaiters" if you can find appropriately small bungies to slip under your boots, but the velcro adjustment at the bottom helps to keep snow out also. A light- to mid-weight base layer can be worn for times when you are out in the cold but less active. Great pants!

Comments about REI Windbrake Thermal Pants - Women's:
I got these with the intent to use them as a mid-layer while backpacking. I ended up returning them because they where to bulky and not very comfortable as a mid-layer. The pants seem to be a middle ground between fleece pants and soft-shell pants. However they were very warm and durable in wind.

Comments about REI Windbrake Thermal Pants - Women's:
We are out daily walking the dogs regardless of weather and these pants have been greatly enjoyed. They are windproof and warm. I'll wear them 'as is' down to ~30 deg and will add a pair of thermals for colder temps. The exterior of the pants is a very short nap fleece while the interior is a grid like texture. The interior is not as soft as I had expected but it is comfortable enough to wear. Only annoyance is the snap at the waist comes undone fairly easily but there is a tab closure as well to help keep them closed. I may end up buying a second pair in the near future.

Windproof and warm on their own down to mid teens temp and perfect with long underwear down to zero. Stretchy enough for yoga poses and durable enough for frequent wear.

Comments about REI Windbrake Thermal Pants - Women's:
I love this pant! A lot.. Warm and blocks wind well. The inside is soft. Looks nice enough to sport around town after a walk in the woods on a cold day. It is compatible with a wide range of footwear and is long enough in a small enough size! Well made and excellent value.
Service and delivery comments:
Awesome, fast, excellent service. Thanks, REI!

Comments about REI Windbrake Thermal Pants - Women's:
I used these pants under wind breaker pants(did not need long underwear)in Big Sky skiing zero to 10 degrees in perfect comfort
These pants fit well and comfortable enough to not only wear skiing, but as casual wear post skiing.
I cannot say that there is a thing wrong with them.
