    I swapped my regular down sweater for the high loft version and couldn't be happier.

    The high loft is built more like a jacket than a mid layer. The fit is much better for me vs. the regular down sweater - this version is ~ 3" longer and comes down a few inches below the hip (regular one was built short & wide and would ride up (OK when you've got a climbing harness on...annoying when you're hiking/skiing).

    The extra down boosts the warmth significantly. Nice DWR finish and sturdy nylon. I got the green and love the bright color!

    Doesn't stuff into its own pocket (nice feature of the regular one) but comes w/ a small stuff sack, and packs down really well so you can bring it anywhere.

    Fit-wise, I'm 5'5" /125lb and small fits perfectly - can accomodate long underwear or mid layers underneath, yet still fits under my GTX shell.

    f you're debating between this & the regular down sweater, the high loft is well worth the extra ~$20.
