Well, my first official use of these tights was at a recent GoRuck Challenge. We spent hours in/on the sand, in the water, and running, trekking all through San Francisco. I wasn't sure how they would hold up under such extreme conditions, but boy was I impressed.
I literally crawled through the sand an surf for hours and not only did the material hold up to the abuse, but they kept me very warm (45 deg air temp, 50 deg water temp) and feeling dry for the 13 hour event.

I hate running in the cold, and with the worst of winter crashing down on us here in Michigan, I needed something that was comfortable and would keep me warm.

Ive never owned a pair of tights before, so I was reluctant. Now I am so glad that I gave them a try!

I went running wearing these tights in 19 degree and windy weather the other day. I was perfectly comfortable. I've worn them up to 35 degrees and was comfortable.

This is the third pair of Salomon bottoms I have tried in the last 1.5 years and the third times verdict is Salomons quality has really decreased. I had 1 other pair of Salomon tights the step down from these and the seems started coming apart within the first 2 weeks of wear. Since then I have had one other pair of the Momentum II's and the same result within a couple of weeks the threading is coming out. The second pair of the momentum 2's the same thing. I guess this is a learning process, but what I have learned about this product is it is soft and very supple and the material adheres to the body like second skin. They stay warm within a range of 29-45 degrees. Above this temperature they are much to warm and below it they are not sufficient stand alone and need to be supplemented either a thin layer or used as a base itself. The momentum II was designed for cooler conditions but lack any type of environmental control such as wind protection or water resistance. Like most products today they wick moisture away from the body. The tights are easy to get on and off and the ankle zippers aid greatly in this. The design allows for a soft flex and contours nicely on the knee. My only concern as mentioned above is the problem with the quality and craftsmanship. Products should not begin to break down after 2 weeks. I would not recommend a Salomon tight at this time until they can delivery greater quality driven manufacturing.
