I just got mine in Obsidian and will use it for casual wear and traveling in. The shirt looks great and feels really nice. I've got a few RR shirts and love them all. The shirt looks a bit more green than "obsidian" but it looks a little different in varying lighting. It's a sharp shirt any which way!

Comments about Royal Robbins Piru Plaid Shirt - Men's:

I use the shirt for hiking and backpacking. The only drawbacks in my opinion are: the chest pocket opens on the side rather than the top. I have trouble keeping my glasses and other items in there without dumping one thing or another while fishing out others. A top-opening pocket doesn't give me this problem. The retainers that hold up the sleeves when rolled up are too low to make a "real" short sleeved shirt, and they require fishing the retainer tabs through a loop on the shirt sleeve and then buttoning back onto themselves... this is too complicated to do with just one hand as I hike along. I mentioned fraying. It's the loose frayed material inside the chest pocket. It tangles on my glasses and it inhibits the zipper. I had to take a match to the frayed material and threads and burn them off. But boy, it's a good looking shirt and Mr. Wonderful gets even more compliments than normal when wearing it.
