I had been using Niterider lights before I got this one and I will never go back. Niterider has over engineered everything from their charging circuits to the connectors, which are prone to failure.

By contrast, this light is very simple and durable, which are the keys to reliability. I rigged up an aluminum water bottle holder to make it easier to strap the battery to the bike without touching or scratching the frame.

I ride with this light on pitch black moonless nights in the foothills of the Rockies outside Denver with complete confidence.
