I use this as a backup or ultralight option when moving fast down a trail, it's always in my car in case I need a spot to "hang out" when road-tripping or just walking in parks. Great option instead of a tent if you don't mind not having a mesh to keep out bugs, packs smaller and weighs just under my Sierra Designs Lightning 2. I said it's not fireproof...I'm sure I didn't need to but I did hear from a friend of mine that he has a cigarette fall into his hammock and burn a huge hole in it (FYI). This hammock is not only great but the people over at Grand Trunk are amazing too; I've had the chance to meet Kevin the CEO at trade shows and he (and his company) are models for professionalism as well as spirit. I'll never buy a hammock from another company!

Wasn't sure how these "travel" hammocks would compare to the nice Brazilian house hammocks I've used, but I was VERY impressed. On our BWCA trip it was used whenever someone was in camp. Great for naps or reading, it breaths very well to keep you back cool even on a hot day. I even slept in it two nights. Only downside is that with the rope supplied you have a fairly specific range of trees you can set it on because they don't give you a lot of rope but that's easy to overcome with some of you own STRONG rope.
