- Ripstop nylon shell uses a Durable Water Repellent finish to repel moisture; breathable taffeta/cotton lining feels soft against skin
- Polyester fiber insulation offers downlike warmth, resists moisture and dries quickly
- Underside insulation has been eliminated and replaced with a sleeve for a 78 x 20 in. sleeping pad, not included
- Continuous oversize draft wedge insulates the connection between the bag and pad to prevent cold air from entering
- Features a 2-way, full-length, locking zipper with big, easy-to-grab zipper pull
- Large draft tube located behind the zipper prevents warm air from escaping and cold air from entering

I needed to get a new bag for backpacking, and i found this one on the website. I am a big guy, 6'2" and 325 lbs. I looked for a big and tall bag and found this one. When it got to my house, I got in in it on my bed and it felt really nice, it was roomy and warm, and I was happy with it. I took it out on a weekend trip, and the happiness went away. When I put the mattress into the back pocket/sleeve, it took quite a bit of room out of the bag. Every time I wanted to roll over the first night, I had to unzip the bag and roll over and then re-zip the bag, and that got cold every time, as we were in Yosemite, in March. On the second night of the weekend I took the mat out of the back of the bag and almost froze my butt off. As the description says, "The underside insulation has been eliminated and replaced with a sleeve to allow a inch sleeping pad. When I rolled over without anything to keep my backside warm it really sucked. Bottom line, I will be sending this bag back and looking for a different one, preferably with all the insulation.

I was in the market for a new bag since my last camping trip when I realized that my 25+ year old rectangle bag would just not cut it for me anymore. I found this bag online at REI and had tried other Big Agnes bags in the store so I knew the size would be right for me. I am a really big guy 6'1'' and 350 lbs. so finding a bag that will fit my large frame can be really hard. We went camping the other weekend and I had this bag and what a blessing it was. The temps got down to about 35 deg's the first night and around 43 the second and I was warm and toasty all night long, and I was sleeping on a cot with no sleeping pad so I had no extra insulation under me. The suffsack that comes with the bag makes it a little bulky however if you put it in a compression bag that solves that problem. The only problem I had with it was the zipper can catch really easily however I am willing to deal with that for a bag that I have lots of room in and is so warm that I was sweating both nights. I am looking forward to lots more trips with this bag.

This is my first Big Agnes bag and I am impressed. Even though I am still using my foam pad, this is the most comfortable sleeping bag I ever slept in. The BA air mattress is on my xmas list for sure. Keep in mind, this bag is made for car camping so it packs large and heavy. I use it for motorcycle camping so weight doesn't matter so much but it is well worth the size and inexpensive too.
