Comments about Guava Family GoCrib Inflatable Crib:
As soon as you open up the GoCrib you get the sense that it is a carefully designed, well-made product. Everything: from the backpack with the instruction manual sleeve and separate pocket for the included pump, compression straps, and the crib itself, has been thoughtfully designed for ease of use. It's sort of like how the Apple iPod was miles ahead of cheap MP3 players when it first launched.
Yes, it's expensive compared to other play yards but totally worth it. Much lighter and easier to set up than a Graco Pack N' Play and Combi Jazz Sport. Set up literally takes less than 5 minutes; inflating it is easy - you don't have to be super fit to do it (unlike those yoga balls).
Plus, with the zip-open mesh door it doesn't feel like a jail to baby. In other play yards my son would last about 5 minutes before he'd be crying with arms outstretched. He actually likes being in the GoCrib and will crawl in and out (and doesn't mind too much when we zip him in).
It's comparable to the Baby Bjorn Travel Crib Lite or the Phil & Teds travel crib, but with a smaller footprint so easier to pack. Unlike the Baby Bjorn, you don't have to buy special sheets - the standard Eddie Bauer flat-corner fitted sheets for portable play yards fit perfectly.
We've used it for trips abroad (it fits easily into a large suitcase and is a familiar play space for baby) as well as trips across town to relatives. Set up is so simple I've even used it when I've had to bring my baby in to work so that he could nap in my office.
Since the crib rests on the floor, I can sit cross-legged in it or lie in it (with my legs sticking out the door, of course) to nurse my baby to sleep, and then slip out.
As we co-sleep, we don't actually have a crib. This is a great option for when you need a safe, enclosed space for your baby. Personally, I think it's far more economical to NOT buy a regular crib and get a GoCrib instead.
I can't think of any drawbacks to the GoCrib, we are big fans of it. The manufacturers are apparently going to introduce accessories like a sunshade and mosquito net in the spring, which would be great items if you need them, but otherwise the GoCrib is pretty perfect as it is.

Comments about Guava Family GoCrib Inflatable Crib:
Like most new parents, I figured my options for playards were limited to the not-so-nice-looking options at the major baby stores and ended up with what I determined to be the least of all the evils - a basic model that did the job, but wasn't all that sturdy or comfortable. Then imagine my surprise when I realized that said playard had a 15-pound weight limit - which I figured out when my son was almost 20 pounds and practically tipped the thing over. Around that time I saw the GoCrib featured on a website. At first I was skeptical because of the cost, but there is NO weight limit, so it can be used for, well, ever...long after it's done being used for sleeping it still makes a great play fort (just add a bedsheet on top and toys inside for a kid- and mom-friendly hideout). The quality is head-and-shoulders above any other playard - it's rock-solid, and so thoughtfully designed that I just wish I had had it from the beginning. It looks so nice (and draws so much attention from visitors) that we keep the GoCrib inflated in our basement so my son can play in it and then pack it up when it's time to travel. The first night we put him to bed in it he slept straight through the night, something that never happened in the old playard. My only quip is that I do wish the mattress that is included was a bit thicker. We've taken to piling a few folded blankets underneath the mattress (CAREFULLY so as not to create a suffocation hazard) and it's worked out fine, but that would be the only thing I'd like to see different.[...] I would absolutely recommend the GoCrib - pricey, yes, but buy it the first time and you'll save all the money you would have spent trying other playard after other playard. Now if I could just get my husband to stop playing in it...

We don't actually own this but thought a little more info on the product would be good. The pump is 9"x3" and the feet of the pump fold out to 4". It weighs 1/2lb. And you can not mouth blow this crib as the company said you couldn't get the pressure high enough for the crib to have firm sides by mouth blowing. They also said a bike pump wouldn't work because it pumps such a small amount of air it would take 20 min or more to blow up.

Comments about Guava Family GoCrib Inflatable Crib:
We decided to try this as our primary crib, if it didn't work out we could always go buy one. However, that was not necessary. We have been using this as our baby's only crib for over four months. The only downside was bending down to put her in or pick her up. But that isn't really a big deal.
Now that she is rolling and scooting around, it is even better. When she wakes up we can just unzip the side and let her "play" her way out.
I am 6'2" and 250 lbs. I can sit crossed legged inside the crib and lift myself out using just the sides... they are that strong. When we first were looking at getting one, I went into REI and told my 4 year old to have at the display model. He played on it for about 10 minutes and he could do no damage. The clips to lock the zippers closed prevent him from opening it up and letting our daughter loose or letter the air out.
If used every day, you do need to "top off" the air every two weeks.
Also, we made a new mattress for it. Just went to an upholstery store and bought 3 inch think foam and sewed and vinyl cover for it. We use the inflatable mattress that came with it when we travel

Comments about Guava Family GoCrib Inflatable Crib:
It's not often one comes across a product that is so innovative and useful. The Go Crib breaks the mold of the bulky portable crib with hard and dangerous surfaces; it is an elegant new design that is simple to use and brings a new level of peace of mind and convenience to parents of small children.
The Go Crib makes travel so much easier, but we also leave it set up all the time while at home.
The superior design and build quality make the premium price still seem like a bargain...even more so as we have many more uses than we originally anticipated.
We now give Go Cribs to new parents and without fail, we hear it is the best child care product out there.

Comments about Guava Family GoCrib Inflatable Crib:
We bought this to be able to bring as a carry on to avoid checked baggage fees. It definitely works for that, and really works as a backpack. That is about the only real benefit to me.First of all, this has a HUGE footprint. The inflatable legs are big tubes that angle out, taking at least twice the amount of room that a traditional packnplay would need. Our hotel room literally did not have big enough floorspace to fit this, and in hindsight really no hotel we've stayed in (not to mention camping!) would have been able to fit this. So unless you have a really swanky amount of space, I'm not sure how other people are making this work. Our gauge did not work at all. Obviously you can guess while pumping it up, but when you just spent [$] things should work. Also, the self inflating mattress would not inflate at all (lots of experience with camping ones), and I could not manually inflate it. Because the mattress didn't inflate and it rests directly on the floor, it was rock hard. Some other reviews had suggested putting a blanket underneath the bed, but you HAVE to make sure that the bed is the same level as the legs. The bed is designed as the same length as the legs, so if it is higher then there will be excess mesh looping out on the sides. Our baby girl rolled into that hanging-over excess and was laying in it with her face into the side of the mattress. Scary and very dangerous! We ended up getting the phil&teds traveller (REI doesn't sell it, but they should!) after we got home for our next trip. Still carryon size, and takes up at least half the footprint when set up!

Comments about Guava Family GoCrib Inflatable Crib:
I use this bed whenever we travel as both a bed or a play area. We have taken it when we fly, both as checked luggage and carry-on. I have also used it as a play area when we are out in the sun (with the UV attachment).
Below are the positives about this product:
- I love that it is so compact & light. It makes it very easy to travel with
- The product is very sturdy. My daughter has not been able to tip it over
- I love the UV attachment. I have taken this to the beach and use it outside by the pool during the summer. It makes a great area for my daughter to nap in the sun and play in the shade
- It is easy to set-up, take down and even put back into the back pack for travel
- I like that it has two points of entry - from the top or you can unzip the side and my daughter comes & goes as she pleases (great when I use it as a sun shade). My daughter has even crawled into it to sleep when she was tired!
Below are the CONS:
- The mattress is thin and is not very comfortable. Since I use this primarily as a travel bed, I have to figure out a way to make the bed more comfortable to sleep on
- The pump could be better quality or a standard size. I am concerned if it breaks how I will blow up the bed.
- Price. This is an expensive bed and would have expected the mattress and pump to be better quality for the price.
Overall, I am not sorry I bought this bed. This bed is so easy to travel with that the pro's far out weigh the cons. However, this would be a lot easier to recommend if it cost less.

Comments about Guava Family GoCrib Inflatable Crib:
This is a great product idea. I liked the way it pumped up and was so sturdy. The side access panel was great. It is intuitive to set up and pack away.
My problems are with the mattress pad and pump that come with it. The mattress is about 3/4 of an inch thick when fully inflated. My son kicks like crazy when going to bed, and if I set this on a hard floor, I could not be certain that he wouldn't hurt himself.
As far as the pump goes, it is a double acting pump which is good. The one I used was until I filled the legs three quarters full then something gave way, and it was only single acting after that. The air pressure gauge never worked so I could not tell if I was filling it to appropriate specifications. The pump bibs are have to be lined up carefully and are very hard to push into the air valves. I know there are easier valves to use out there as I have used these type of valves on other products with greater ease. Also, the hose kinked easily and felt cheap. This piece of equipment is far to important for the use of this product for it to be so chintzy.
I have to say I was thoroughly disappointed with this product. I like the idea but it won't work for me.

Comments about Guava Family GoCrib Inflatable Crib:
I never post recommendations for products, but I am so thankful for innovation when it comes to baby gear and things that are clever, convenient and saves you time, that I simply had to comment on this product. I travel often for work and when I have to stay over for more than 3 nights, I prefer to take my son with. The challenge is always to fit everything from healthy food, diapers, toys, bedding on to a plane when you also need to take your laptop and work. Besides light weight, the Go Crib is super easy to assemble and my son love to crawl in and out of the 'den'. The design is great and sturdy so that he can practice his standing. I can definately recommend this product above the other 2 camping cots we also tried.
