Comments about Knog Party Frank Cable Lock:
This lock should only be used as a secondary lock or when the bike is always in sight. I use this lock to secure the front wheel to the frame and a U-lock to secure the frame and back wheel to something unmovable.

Comments about Knog Party Frank Cable Lock:
Long drunk story short I lost my u-lock and needed to get another lock fast and cheap. I've had it for about 4months now, and so far my bike has not been stolen(however, that may have more to do with my bike than this lock). I do live in a city rife with bike theft so this is a bit of a surprise.
I do not trust in this lock; there have been times when I thought it was locked, and it popped open just as I was walking away. I am sure that it would only take a few chomps of the bolt cutters to get through it, especially if assisted with a razor blade. My best defense is that I lock up in areas with high foot traffic, preferably where I can see my bike through a window.
You will need all three of the keys it comes with because they are cheap bits of tin that will bend to 90-degreee angles. I am sure any day now that one of them will break inside the lock.
I have kept this lock for so long because I am poor, the bright clolour of the lock is pretty, and the silicone keeps the lock from scratching my bike's paint up even further.

Comments about Knog Party Frank Cable Lock:
Im so far really enjoying owning this bike lock. Its probably the tenth type of lock I have ever owned and my favorite by far. The only concern I have is this lock versus a bolt cutter. I would guess it would not stand a chance. But otherwise it wraps and rides under my seat like no lock has ever! Its soft and light, wont scratch your bike or your legs. I use it wherever I feel comfortable. Would not suggest long term in a shady neighborhood but why would you park your bike like that anyways!? It could be about 2 inches longer but Im not complaining. Hope It lasts!

Comments about Knog Party Frank Cable Lock:
My girlfriend purchased this lock, I told her it didn't seem like a fantastic lock, but alas, it looked good ! Ironically enough, her bike is an old piece of junk, a few weeks later this lock was cut clean through and lying on the ground right next to her bike, which was never even stolen ! Almost as if someone just set out to prove this lock was worthless. It's look is a detriment, the way it forms the shape of a T and looks like its made of rubber makes it look extremely insecure. If anything it draws the attention of criminals looking for a weak lock.

Comments about Knog Party Frank Cable Lock:
This lock is inexpensive, very user friendly, and lightweight. What it's not is good for expensive bikes or really sketchy lock-up locations. This lock works very well for bikes that don't present much of a theft risk (e.g. old road bike for city riding) and/or relatively secure spots (gated yard or porch). Of course, everyone has different thresholds for risk, but this can be a useful piece of gear if you don't expect it to provide the same security as a U lock.

Comments about Knog Party Frank Cable Lock:
My bike was just stolen while using this lock. Bolt cutters can cut through it. Not a good lock. If you are going to buy any lock buy a U lock!
