I've been having trouble with my previous hiking shoes causing blisters, sore toes, etc. the salesman sold me these shoes one size bigger. I used them today for the first longish hike, 10 miles. After about 4 miles my feet were killing me. I started getting hotspots on the soles despite wearing a liner with good hiking socks. I felt every rock I stepped on and little rocks were getting in the shoes. I also tripped a few times because I was not accustomed to the longer length, however, the toe protection was excellent. I am now in the market for a new pair of feet because apparently I can't find the right shoe.

Expensive but very nice shoes. I prefer the low tops as opposed to the high tops as high tops bother me the way they fit and rub against my ankles/feet unless I break them in for some time.

I bought 1/2 size smaller than usual. Uppers are very comfy. Laced tightly they give good arch support. Not sure if cushioned enough on the bottom. I put in a more cushy insole and use not-thin socks and it seems to work. I am loving them now.

I have had a pair of ASOLO hiking boots for 8 years now and finally decided to get a pair of hiking shoes. Just like the boots, the shoes run large, so instead of my 9.5-10 running shoe size, I bought them in size 9. They are very comfortable and take very little to break them in. I went hiking and bouldering for 3 hours today without slipping at all, and my feet feel great! I've received many compliments on the turquoise color, and the white mesh is actually a grey color which should look nicer for longer.

They are a lovely design! In addition to every day wear, I sometimes hike in them when it is a rock scramble trail and they have performed very well. They are light and my feel don't heat up in them.
A bit confused as to sizing as my US 6 is marked 4.5/UK which really translates to a 6.5 as per REI size chart. I am normally a 4/UK. This needs me to wear thicker socks which I don't always want to.
Not easy to keep the white part white and concerned that the blue part may bleed into it if washed. Otherwise, a beautiful shoe indeed.

Love the color and the price. I usually order my normal size 8 but these shoes are at least 2 sizes longer. I looked on the tongue of the shoe and noticed the sizing,8 US and 40 EU. I normally wear a 38 or 39 in EU sizes so just be careful ordering if you are on the smaller size of the 8.
