Just a smidge bigger than its 12 in. compatriot, the Novara Firefly 16 in. kids' bike has a bigger frame and wheels for bigger budding riders.

  • Sturdy high-tensile steel frame is almost as tough as they are and is designed to stand up to demanding use
  • Rear coaster brake is easy and intuitive to use; simply backpedaling engages the brake
  • Removable training wheels and built-in full-length chainguard help kids learn to ride without fear of tipping over or catching pants in the chain
  • BMX-style handlebar is comfortable and fun; handlebar bag and bell complete the package
  • Convenient handle is integrated into the back of the saddle for easy carrying or control

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly.
