Comments about New Balance WT10 Minimus Trail-Running Shoes - Women's:
I use them for walking and Kayaking. They made my feet sore at first, but after a week of gradualy increasing wear time, my feet became stronger. Now I can wear as long as I want. I like them in the water. They stay on really good. They are black and are a little hot when not wet. I would get a lighter color next time, and there will be a next time. Will probably buy another pair long befor these wear out.REALLY LIKE.

Comments about New Balance WT10 Minimus Trail-Running Shoes - Women's:
I have been using a pair of New Balance Minimus 20's and LOVE them. I thought I'd try the Minimus 10's. The overall fit/foot shape was the same and I like the color and styling. What I can't stand is the band across the forefoot. I have pretty average feet - normal width and arch. My feet are not abnormally wide or thick, but the band across the forefoot is really uncomfortable. It is constrictive enough that it was cutting of circulation after 2 miles. I'm really disappointed and am going to stick to my WT20s. I don't recommend these unless you have very thin feet ("thin" from sole to top of foot, not "thin" as in narrow width) and the band will not bother you. They were uncomfortable while running and walking.

I have rigid feet with high arch. These shoes fit amazingly. Lightweight, yet durable. Love the style. Yes - takes a few wears to get used to, but now i won't work out in any other shoes. I run and do crossfit. Will be purchasing more. I've had mine for a year and they still look new.

If you don't understand the concept of barefoot running, don't buy these. They are an exellent minimalist running shoe. I trail run with them and ran in the Tough Mudder run wearing them- they breath, let water in AND out-not just soak it up and stay there, traction is good yet mud doesn't cake/build up on them(think Frankenstein) I use them without socks- no blisters. After weeks of wear- in wet/dirt/mud they have conformed to my feet and fit 'like a glove'. Again- they are barefoot running shoes- learn before you buy!

Comments about New Balance WT10 Minimus Trail-Running Shoes - Women's:
I love love love these shoes. I probably tried on 20 pairs before these and knew immediately they were perfect. Absolutely the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I wear them to work often, not just for running. I'm not a runner by nature but have been slowly breaking into the culture. Very limited soreness in my joints compared to the cushy shoes I had been running in. They have also been great in CrossFit and rowing. I will be wearing them for Tough Mudder this weekend, so ordering a new pair now, should they get smelly beyond repair. LOVE these shoes.

Comments about New Balance WT10 Minimus Trail-Running Shoes - Women's:
I loved these when I tried them on initially. The toe box was really roomy, the material was light, airy, and felt like a glove on the top of my foot. The soles had a bit of drop, but nothing huge, and they felt like they would be great trail and pavement shoes. Then I wore them outside for the first time, and was rudely surprised to discover that just walking in them for 10 minutes gave me the worst pain I've ever felt on the top of my last right metatarsal (the pinkie). Literally, the joint before the toe was getting terrible pressure from the shoe somehow, which felt like someone was squeezing my foot around the center with a vice. I actually took them off to walk barefoot back to my car, it hurt so badly. I gave the shoes a break, and tried to wear them again a few more times, walking, and even a run, but all had to be cut short from the pressure on my right foot, which never got any better. So after those failed attempts, I took a more close inspection of the shoes, especially the metatarsal band (the black rubber strip across the width of the shoe), and noticed a few things. One, the right is different than the left. Literally, the band is less wide, and sewn on closer to the body of the shoe than the toe box, which apparently put more pressure on the bones. Two, upon pulling up the metatarsal strip slightly on each shoe to see how flexible it would be, I noticed the right had glue residue and a bunching of the mesh fabric beneath, where the left had nothing but perfect stitching. Seemed rather messy and haphazard, so I chalk it up to a shoe defect. Upon searching the internet for other reviews of the shoe, I found similiar reviews with the same issues, where the right/left didn't match, and the band was too tight on one shoe, putting pressure on the bones in the foot. Since mine were a gift, I couldn't return them, so I decided to cut the band on the right side while preserving the stitching to see if that would relieve some of the pressure. Added some super glue to the exposed mesh bunching beneath to keep things from unraveling, and lo and behold, it solved the issue, though cutting [$] shoes becase of a defect did NOT make me happy. Since cutting the band, I've worn them running on trails and pavement, and haven't had any further issues. New Balance really needs to fix that shoe defect, though, because I know I'm not the only one who had the issue. Otherwise, the shoe concept and performance could have been fantastic.

Comments about New Balance WT10 Minimus Trail-Running Shoes - Women's:
I must admit I use these on an almost daily basis since I bought them. I've used them for long days of walking & standing (ie. theme parks or manufacturing floor) and they're also my go-to for sprinting, jogging and doing any kind of exercise in the gym including yoga stretches. Note that my previous gym/running shoe was Vibram 5Fingers but I wore those out quickly.
Great that they are lightweight, flexible, have good grip on the soles. I feel they support my arch and food very well but then again I did wear Vibrams for 2 years before buying these.
Not so great about it? I honestly say that the only downside is the price (but then again they are worth the $) - I can't think of anytime where I thought "ugh, if only they were ...". I love wearing them because they are truly comfortable and supportive. I just wish I had more pairs in more colors!

Comments about New Balance WT10 Minimus Trail-Running Shoes - Women's:
I'm an avid runner and gym nut. I got these because I'd recently worn out my Vibrams and wanted to try something a little different in the minimalist shoe category. They have a different feel than the Vibrams did, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and got them anyways. I don't have wide feet at all and I found these to rub the tops of my tarsal bones and my toes pretty badly. I've already lost 2 toenails running in these and am about to lose another. Everyones feet are different, but I won't be recommending these anytime soon. I'm sticking with Vibrams.

feel slightly narrow at the forefoot, otherwise feel great during run. Can definitely feel the difference in feet and legs with shorter strides

These are a trail running must! Great improvement from New Balance's earlier version. I'm never going back to cushion, stability shoes.
