The Suunto T3D heart rate monitor helps you achieve your goals by helping you train efficiently and get the most out of each workout.

Paired with the included comfort heart rate sensor strap, the T3D provides accurate heart rate data while you work out, making your training as beneficial as possible
Coded ANT™ wireless transmission avoids interference with other heart rate monitors while you're at spin class or running on a treadmill
Set your own heart rate limits and view them graphically on the watch so you can easily monitor your heart rate while training; alarm indicates when you are outside the limit
Choose from 3 preset heart rate zones (fitness, aerobic, threshold) or set your own zone limits to maximize your training session
Training Effect feature gives an accurate measurement of how hard you are training based on your personal fitness profile and real-time analysis of your physiological progress
Your real-time Training Effect is presented as a number on a scale from 1 - 5; set a target Training Effect number to have a goal for your workout
Interval training lets you alternate periods of high exertion and recovery; you can also define a warm-up period before starting your interval training
Review your workout in the watch logbook to see your Training Effect, average and peak heart rate, calories burned, lap times and time at, above and below heart rate limits
You can also view a summary of your training session data for the current week, previous week, current month and the previous 5 months
Standard watch features include time, dual time, alarm, date and backlight
Optional Suunto GPS, foot pod and bike cadence accessories (not included) let you measure speed, distance and cadence
Suunto T3D uses consumer-replaceable CR2032 batteries

Great heart rate monitor! I've been looking for one that would hold me accountable during my workouts and having this to push me to work harder is great! The set up was straight forward. I used water, not gel for the chest strap. It gave an immediate reading after starting my watch for a workout. Highly recommended!

Came with dead battery. Promotional material said user can change the battery. [...] Manual had zero information on changing the battery (there is a small plastic holder you need to gently pry up). Web site had zero information on changing the battery. Suunto customer service said just do it, which I did but was worried about breaking something.Manual does not give much details on the modes and settings. Have to have a sense of adventure. I might be biased since I had to go through this, will see if my wife will gut it out and use this on her runs/workouts.[...]I will update this once we figure everything out.
