            So the person who gave this one star on REI's site clearly doesn't understand that all tripods, stabilizers and grips have the screw attached.

            This thing works like it should and opens up a lot more mounting options.

              If you just need a way to attach the GoPro to a standard 1/4" tripod thread it works fine. Gives you the option of using mini-tripods, ball heads or clamps to mount the camera. As well it can be used as a custom mount to be held by a 1/4 bolt.

              Only issue is that any twist on attachment can unscrew so if you mount to anything that will come under forces such as a bicycle, mc, etc keep in mind the adapter can come unscrewed and loosen.

              Otherwise works fine for traditional mounting.

                  This product is useless. I bought the GoPro Hero Helmet, and its great. Also I bought a few other accesories, and they are great. But the tripod adapter is useless. It doesnt have the screw to make it work.
                  Its not an REi problem, its a GoPro problem.
