The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about SOL Hybrid 3 Survival Kit:
I purchased this kit for day hikes where i don't have to carry my more advanced first aid kit and survival kit. Looking at it hanging on the REI shelf it looked pretty impressive and professional but cheap china components based like most AMK products ....so I took the plunge[$] + tax yikes! Upon opening it at home the first thing I noticed was that there were 2 diagonal zippered compartments on each side one for survial/repair and the other contained medical items. Now here is where we run into problems, the interior is not clear plastic instead its the same orange silnylon as the outside so there is no way you can tell where anything is or whats in there. To aggravate things the ridiculous diagonal zippers make it hard to take items in/out because 1. they are diagonal and 2. they do not run the full bag-length diagonally . Component wise its pretty capable, although the quality of the items inside is questionable with a bunch of bandage items with big MADE IN CHINA logos all over. It would have been a winner if the zippers were vertical on each side and a more visible material used for the interior so you dont have to take it all apart when you need a band aid and vice versa.....what was AMK thinking with this?

Comments about SOL Hybrid 3 Survival Kit:
I bought this as a last minute item for night hike I was doing. I wanted something that covered the basic in both first aid and survival. This little guys has both, in a nice little pack.
I have added a few item: a wider selection of bandages, one pair of hand/foot warmers, and a very small multi tool.
As I compared the contents with the first aid and survival lists I found on REI's sites, I am glad I bought it. I has all the basic survival and first aid item one would need.
The only detail I do not like is the cheap and small compass included. I am upgraded to a better on anyway, so not a huge deal. I also do not like the zipper system on the bags. They are at a diagonal and a little difficult to get items in and out.
I have plans to add/change up a few items. I like that the kit covers basic first aid, but I want to include some items that will also cover more serious injuries.
Overall I am pleased and happy with my purchase.
