Comments about SOL Heatsheets Emergency Bivvy:
I slept in it once. I'm 5-9 and 200 pounds and I fit in this bivy fine. It was long enough that I was able to pull it over my head. I move around a lot when I sleep, and aside from being fairly roomy, I DID NOT manage to rip the material. The seams held up just fine. The bivy kept me warm down to 50 degrees, at which time I started feeling cold. The material is waterproof. Shiny on the inside, and blaze orange on the outside. It does not make a lot of tinfoil sound like some survival blankets, which is nice. I carry this with me on day hikes and backpacking trips. In my opinion, it is a required piece of gear.

Comments about SOL Heatsheets Emergency Bivvy:
I had my girl friend drop me about 20 miles up river in a deep canyon. My intention was to live out of a survival tin from the bbc but i included this bivvy in my kit. I took nothing eles. I had planned a 3 day, 2 night but after sleeping one night in this bivvy, i put it in high gear and was out 27 hours after being dropped. I kept warm but if you move inside, the condensation is terrible and you feel how wet you acually are. you exit the bag soaking wet. but, im alive and writting this, so, bottem line, it works good!

Comments about SOL Heatsheets Emergency Bivvy:
My son and I have each carried one of these for the past five years on hikes, scrambles, mountain bike rides, kayak trips and through canyons in Zion. We finally had a need for them twice on the same day last fall in a Zion canyon! First, we had to sit out a flash flood for several hours while soaking wet. These bivys kept our spirits up. Second, a couple hours later when on our next to last rappel of the canyon our ropes got stuck and could not continue. We gathered for the night in these bivys again (still wet from the waterfalls we rappeled through) and made it. It was not the most comfortable experience of my life, but it was greatly increased by having these bivys with us. I am stocking up for anyone that ever travels with me in the backcountry.

Comments about SOL Heatsheets Emergency Bivvy:
We had an unexpected bivouac while down hiking the Narrows in Zion last August. We were all soaked thru when darkness fell, the ambient temperature was about 55. The 3 kids all had these bivy sacks and slept well. The adults shivered all night and didn't sleep a wink. In the morning the sacks were still in good shape and could have been used again.
