Comments about Osprey Momentum 26 Commuter Backpack:
I love this bag.
I use it to commute 100km a week to and from work. It has room for dress shoes with shoe-trees still in, pants, shirt, and bag lunch. I use the smaller front pocket to hold my rain booties, sun and clear lens riding glasses. I like that I can adjust the size of the bag for my ride home when there is less to carry.
The cell-phone pocket will fit most large screen smartphones but I doubt you could get a Note in there. The other shoulder strap pocket has a key ring on a retractable line that a really nice touch.
The channeling on the back is comparable to most other cycle-specific bags I've looked at and it will get wet but this really doesn't bother me. This will be the case on almost every backpack.
The bag itself is fairly water resistant, I rode with it in mild rain for 30 minutes and nothing penetrated to the gear inside. The built in rain cover is extremely easy to deploy.

Comments about Osprey Momentum 26 Commuter Backpack:
I wanted to get a larger commuter pack than my old New Sun hydration pack, which is nearly worn out after 14 years so this seemed like a good pack, especially after reading the other reviews. However, after trying it this morning on my 11-mile commute, I would say this is not good for biking and is definitely NOT FOR WOMEN. The shoulder straps are too wide, and the chest strap is too low (cuts across bust area) and is non-adjustable vertically. The top of the pack is too tall and puffy -- it continually bumped against the back of my helmet and obscured my sight lines when I tried to look over my shoulder. The waist/hip strap is too narrow, and overall, no matter how much you cinch the straps, the pack bounces and slides around. I can't imagine a man being comfortable with this pack, either.

Comments about Osprey Momentum 26 Commuter Backpack:
Great backpack, very light without anything in it, comfortable to wear on longer commutes. Has enough room (unexpanded) for a change of clothes and shoes. (Expanded) it has room for additional cargo. Pockets are great, place for U-Lock, laptop, cell phone, and some good pockets with retractable keychain on straps conveniently located for easy access. I love this backpack and have been using it for about 3 months now and it has held up well.

Comments about Osprey Momentum 26 Commuter Backpack:
I impulse bought this yesterday, because it was everything I ever wanted in a backpack. It fits my oversized laptop, a jacket, some books, and still has plenty of room to spare. Also the electric yellow colour doesn't make me look like a hobo which was a problem I had with my other bag.
It has an expansion zipper for when I need to stuff an extra sweater in it, and mesh outside pockets for water bottles/hats/gloves. I love the zip-cord for your keys and the attach point for my blinky lights.
It has enough little pockets on the inside although I wish one or two of them had zippers/snaps to secure them. Also because my smartphone is inside an otterbox it doesn't fit in the smart phone pocket. It's not an issue though because there are four loops on the shoulder straps to hook things onto (like the belt clip for my otterbox).
It is missing a proper pocket for a hydration bladder, and it was a bit awkward to fit my emergency bike pump in. I also wouldn't mind a separate interior pocket for laptop cords and things.
All together though, I really, love this backpack. I'm going to use it till the bottom falls out.

Comments about Osprey Momentum 26 Commuter Backpack:
I've used the Momentum 26 for my bike commute to work for half a year and have nothing but good things to say about the pack. I have a 20 mile cummute each way. This pack is comfortable, roomy and light. I'm able to carry a pair of dress shoes, slacks, collared shirt, belt, one or two laptops, a notebook, tool kit, and kit change for the ride home without problem. There are mulple full size sleeve pockets inside the main compartments that are ideal for holding a folded shirt so it stays clean an ddoes not get wrinkled. The small outside pocket is great for a phone, wallet, and sun glasses. I especially like the key ring in the shoulder strap. It's the perfect place to put office keys. Other well designed details include the built-in raincover that accepts a clip on tail light and louvered back panel that provides good ventilation. I've worn this pack on days ranging from the low 40's to over 100 and it have not been a burden over extra layers or too hot over my thinnest layers.
I debated between this size and the larger 34 liter size and have no regrets. I carry a complete change of clothes, shoes, work materials, a laptop, and a cycling kit for the ride home and I've never had to use the pack expansion. If I needed to carry more I can unzip the expansion and get a couple more inches of pack depth.

My old pack's zipper broike on my way home. Dropped into REI and picked this bag up. Transferred everything from the old pack to the new one and oput it on. Couldn't believe the comfort and how light it was. Lots of storage space and pockets for phones, etc. Highly recommend it.

Comments about Osprey Momentum 26 Commuter Backpack:
I use the pack every weekday on my commute to and from school or work, and on weekend rides.
The pack is nearly perfect, fitting everything I need:
15" laptop + charger, spare tube + pump + multitool, water bottle, phone, pen, pencil, spiral notebooks, u lock, and keys. It even totes my helmet securely.
After opening the expansion panel, I can even fit some groceries on my way home.
I love the shoulder strap pockets for keys and a phone, although I broke the retractable key mechanism within the first year (and got a replacement). It has saved me from my own forgetfulness many times. The laptop pocket is a good fit (it could take a larger one), and there are small mesh organizers inside the main compartment (I use them for my tube, tool, and pump).
Better yet, it kept everything dry in heavy rain with the cover.
Unfortunately it has no dedicated space for a U Lock, doesn't fit a bladder very well (it does fit in the shoulder strap stash pocket, but having my laptop loaded makes it a tight fit), and doesn't have as many organizational pockets as I'm used to. It can also be awkward to get things out of the inner compartment when a laptop is inside. Also, having a helmet attached obscures the small pocket and makes the main compartment difficult to use, so you may have to remove it for access.

Comments about Osprey Momentum 26 Commuter Backpack:
I use this pack on campus, while riding my bike and when hiking. It's a terrific design and has plenty of handy pockets. The color is super visible when riding around town, and the built in reflectors make me feel awesome, as well as safe. I certainly consider it my "carry-all". Rugged zippers, comfortable padding, and an epic rainfly add to this pack's god-like features.
