The medium ALPS Mountaineering Cyclone compression sack is designed to compress around the diameter of your sleeping bag and provide some longitudinal compression.
- Cylindrical sack is well-suited to being strapped on the outside of a pack yet also fits nicely inside your pack
- Constructed of tough ripstop nylon fabric with strong 3/4" webbing straps; bottom handle for easy carrying
- 3 straps wrap around the circumference of the sack to reduce the diameter; 1 strap runs lengthwise to shorten the sack

I've only had the bag a few weeks, but it has every indication of being a quality product. At the expense of a (very!) little weight, the material is quite durable and the stitching is solid.
The compression isn't as tight as I would like. The top and bottom flaps are a little too long, which makes it difficult to compress lengthwise. The compression around the body of the sack is very good, though.
The medium-sized bag is a perfect fit for my new Hennessy Hammock (+ fly and insulation), which is the reason I ordered it to begin with. I suppose that if I had more gear to load into the bag, the lengthwise compression might be more satisfactory.
Overall, I am very pleased with the product. I expect that it will last me for quite a few years. It may not compress as well as other compression sacks, but it is one of the finest stuff sacks I've owned so it's a bit of a compromise.
