Comments about ALPS Mountaineering Cyclone Compression Sack - X Large - Special Buy:

Let me start off by saying, this thing is HUGE! picked it up at the store today, came home and popped it open and immediately glanced around the house to see what I had laying around I could stuff in there. Answer... 4 pretty big throw blankets.

Now I had no intention of using this for backpacking, as I bought it for travel and I feel like it will do the job well. Which will be cramming a months worth of clothes and what not into a small carry on bag. It seems to be made really well and my only gripe is that when you really start cranking down on it, the end flaps can get a little sloppy. Other than that and it would be 5 stars. It doesn't really effect performance, but it just kind of irks me a little.

Having the circumferencial and axial oriented straps makes it awesome as far as how much compression you can really put on it and it feels likes it will put up with the abuse of tugging the straps as hard as you can to get as much size reduction as possible.
