This collar is awesome! It has always cought my eye on the shelves, and I finally got it for my dog. He's a very active golden retriever, and often goes swimming in the river, squrrel chasing, running, biking, backpacking, and pulls hard on the leash. Yet this collar has survived it all, and has yet to fray, break, fade, or jam. After 12 months the color "Fresh" is still...well "Fresh"!

I really wanted to like this collar. Owning Chaco sandals, I had a good idea of the quality webbing. The materials used in this collar seem to be very good and it is attractive. My problem is with the design. The collar slips over the dog's head, with the excess length wrapping around over the top of the loop and securing with a plastic clip. If the clip failed, the collar should stay on the dog. That concept is good. However, the metal ring that the leash attaches to is on the exterior webbing and when the dog moderately pulls, the inside collar tightens around his neck and requires constant adjustment. I also found it mildly frustrating to put the collar on and get a good fit. Ultimately, I'm returning this product and the matching leash.

After only two weeks, the buckle mechanism on this collar jammed so badly that I had to cut it off my dog. One of the plastic prongs that insert into the buckle just will not depress. I even tried putting the collar on my desk and using all my weight -- no dice.

Also, the collar irritated the sensitive skin on the underside of my dog's neck. I've tried two other collars (petco brand) and neither of them did that.

Unlike with some previous collars, Harvey, our dog, has never once scratched at or seemed irritated by this collar. He has received many compliments on its looks. For awhile, it seemed to be rubbing some fur off on his neck, but that was due to his clueless owners putting it on too tight. We loosened it up, and the fur is back. Even when it was tight, though, Harvey never seemed to be bothered by it. I think the material is soft enough that it is always comfortable for him.

It is really rugged. Harvey loves to roll in the dirt, and he swam in the river when we visited my wife's sister in Bend, OR. The collar has stayed on, with no stretching or fraying. It is a breeze to put on or off, and the tags are secure.

This collar is fantastic! I've had it for around four months and it still looks brand new. My dog swims in a pond and rolls around in mud at a park I take her to every day. She's very rough on the collar and it's holding up fantastically.
It's also a very well thought out collar. The buckle is really big and easy to clip on and off. Also, there's a separate place to attach tags to and clip a leash, which is a great idea.

Great collar!

It is really cute in the "fresh" color with blue and green zigzags.

We just adopted a fairly active Border Collie. We go hiking almost every day and spend lots of time at dog parks. This collar has been great! He's got a LOT of hair so there is no possibility of it rubbing, however it seems that it is comfortable. It's very durable - it has survived snags on branches, other dogs roughhousing with him.

Because the color is so light it gets FILTHY pretty quick (especially after river diving) but I just throw it in the washing machine.

It also has an extra d-ring for tags! I love that. It is plastic, but so far as held up really nicely.
