Comments about CamelBak Antidote Reservoir - 100 fl. oz.:
I really wanted to like this newly designed Camelbak bladder. I'm a fan of the previous models and this one has some great features. But, it has a FATAL flaw. When filled at or near capacity, any pressure on the bladder causes it to leak from the fill valve. I thought the first one I purchased was a fluke, but it occurs in both replacements as well. Avoid this bladder.

Comments about CamelBak Antidote Reservoir - 100 fl. oz.:
Camelbak really got this one right! Many of the shortcomings of the previous reservoir have been addressed.
-The detachable hose makes filling the reservoir easy since you can remove it from the pack without removing the tube. In addition, the quick-release tube allows for add-ons like the the in-line filter.
-The built in "drying rack" allows the reservoir to be easily dried for storage or after cleaning.
-The new 1/4 turn cap is excellent! I used to struggle to open and properly seal the caps of the old-style reservoir but this new feature makes opening and closing the top a breeze.
-The center baffle does a great job of re-distributing the water across the back, making for better weight-distribution, a smaller form-factor and easier loading into the pack.
-The slide-in handle to hang the reservoir in a pack is way more convenient than the previous loop and hook system.
Overall Camelbak has taken what might seem to be a basic component and made it user-friendly in ways I never dreamed of. A great improvement to an already excellent product.

It leaks due to a poor and apparently untested design. I have been using Camelbak bladders for years and in all 4 of my packs.

Comments about CamelBak Antidote Reservoir - 100 fl. oz.:
I've used Camelbak reservoirs and day packs for years, and I always buy at REI because of the guarantee (and the dividend and great service, etc.) I have to have easy access to water hiking both in the SE and SW. My first Antidote leaked badly at the hose attachment point so I returned it for a new one. That one is water tight. I encourage anyone who gets a leaky reservoir to try again. The Camelbak folks must have a quality control issue here, but REI will make it right, and Camelbak will get the feedback. Never buy elsewhere! The design of this is a good one, lays flatter than my old Camelbak, easier to dry inside, nice not to have to remove the whole reservoir to refill. I just had to persist til I got a water tight one.

I have been using CamelBaks for over 20 years and have been satisfied with their products until now. The Quick Link connection system on this newest incarnation of CamelBak is a total failure!!!! It leaks! Do not buy this.

Replaced a broken 100 oz omega with the antidote. First trip to elevation with new bladder and experienced leakage via both the big mouth opening with the new 1/4 turn closure. The quick change hose is nice, but it too leaks a small amount each time the hose is removed. Bummed on this new version. Want the old one back despite the fixed hose. Why go to 1/4 turn closure? How hard was it to close the old opening at 3/4 - full turn?

Comments about CamelBak Antidote Reservoir - 100 fl. oz.:
The ol Camelbak was truckin right along, untill a few months after I bought it, and it slipped an o-ring or something. O-rings slip, that's fine, but the annoying thing is that first of all, they're not a generic size, so you have to spend 40 times as much as you should to get the part from Camelbak, and even worse, the detachable hose idea is just a bad one. It used to be that you just jammed your hose into the resevoir itself, and whamo, it worked. All the time. But now we have this bizarro detachable hose dealie that, as far as I can tell, serves no practical purpose whatsoever, other than to slap some whiz bang piece of junk onto a functional system so users think they need to upgrade. DON'T. Camelbak has increased the complexity of a system which seems to have declined in quality, so if you buy it, you can look forward to 5 months of functionality, then you may as well trash it.

Comments about CamelBak Antidote Reservoir - 100 fl. oz.:
This is the worst camelbak product I have ever owned, and should never have made it to production. I bought one for my girlfriend, and immediately it leaked. I checked the cap to make sure it was tight, then tried to move it to another position and it popped off, spilling water everywhere. everywhere I tried the cap, it leaked. I traded it in at REI for another one, and it leaks the same. This time I hooked the hose up to it, and the bite valve also leaked... I liked the lower/wider profile than my old 100oz design, so I tried to slip it into my pack and the hose popped off 3x in a row. This product is very disappointing. If they put half of the time they spent designing the flashy appearance and packaging, they could have made this bladder function correctly.
On the other had, I have a 100oz resevoir that I bought from camelbak 4 years ago and it is still in service, still works and tastes great, and has never leaked a drop. boy how their quality has changed...

Comments about CamelBak Antidote Reservoir - 100 fl. oz.:
I took this bladder day hiking on a recent vacation to Costa Rica. The capacity was great - I never had to refill all day. Unfortunatley, if I didn't remember to lock the mouthpiece, I would often have problems with it leaking when I set my backpack down. On the airplane, on a bus, on a trail - I'm quite forgetful, apparently. I would prefer the mouthpiece to be a little stiffer or something so that putting it down didn't equate to the mouthpiece opening and creating a puddle.

Comments about CamelBak Antidote Reservoir - 100 fl. oz.:
I have now owned two of these, I was convinced Camelbak wouldn't produce an item they hadn't tested fully, so I bought a replacement when the first one failed.
I'll start with the PROs. It holds a nice shape when full, and the after taste is better than older models.
CONs, same as the other posts. If you want to simulate the leak fill the bladder full and place it on a flat table and put a little pressure on it. Grab the rim of the lid and pich it against the ring it sits in, pulling the lid "off center". Now grab some paper towels and clean up the mess.
All of this happens in a full pack, pressure from gear and some object pushing on one side of the lid are likely. It seems in my case very likely leaving me to climb in wet gear twice now because when the pack was full and laying flat in the truck all my water leaked out.
I have found that loading the bladder once ready to climb it doesn't seem to be as big of a problem, but I prefer to prep everything the night before for an early start.
