The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
by Rob'tfromSubstantially Less Than 1.5 Ltrs.!I purchased this as a replacement for a 1.5 ltr. Platypus that had worn out.
When I unpacked the CamelBak, it seemed tiny. So I measured the capacity. It may barely hold the stated capacity, but with its stiff cap there is no way I could not lose a substantial amount of water when closing it.
I returned it for a better product.

by alexeifromKids love themBirthdays must include one hiking present. They have already been used a couple of times, and judging by the number of potty breaks, these two kids are well hydrated. Between hikes I keep them in the freezer to inhibit mold growth. I wish the price was lower, but dang, they last forever.

by FastyakfromPerfect hydration system for sea kayakingI purchased this hydration system to use with my Astral Sea Wolf PFD which like many PFDs has a loop between the layers behind the back to hang the bladder so it always goes with you. When I exit the kayak or have to wet exit in the ocean, I can exit without detaching myself from the hydration system and have a plentiful emergency water source if I become separated from my kayak far out from shore. The mouth of the bladder is really big for loading it up with ice cubes. It has worked perfectly and trouble free for myself and others I know that use it. I purchased the 1.5 liter capacity as it is the largest size I can put in my PFD that does not hang below the bottom of the PFD. If you use the bladder in your PFD your body heat will act upon it but not enough to warm the water undesirably.

by KlozawfromEasy to add ice-easy to drink - a little smallI guess I thought 50 oz was a lot of water. I didn't realize my last one was 70 oz. As such, I ran out of water on a 90 min mtn bike ride today (was ~ mid- 80's degrees).
the easy fill mouth is good for ice but does make it harder to max out the water it holds.
Like the mouth piece. Water flows easily.
Good if you have the right size backpack and don't need a lot of water during your exercise routine.

by sara stormfroma little confusedIt works fine. I'm not sure the purpose or the use behind the drying arms that are attached to the opening. They seem like a waste of materials and rather comical in their usefulness.

by Steve from MassfromLeaked after 3 usesUsed this 3 times on White Mountain (NH) hikes. I filled it for my next hike packed my pack and about 10 minutes later tried it on for pack balance. My lower back got soaked. Unpacked and found a pool of water in the bottom and the Camelbak leaking. Had to repack in another pack and carry water bottles.

by corsafromdeveloped a pinhole in three monthsIt takes some care not to spill water trying to secure the lid if you want to fill to max capacity. I like the wide mouth for ease of cleaning. I like that the tube disconnects. Nice bite valve with good flow. The reservior leaked all over my stuff today. I found it had a pin hole near the bottom. May have some warranty. I'm checking now.

by nonnatonifromStrange name but great reservoir!I use it for hydration while hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and nordic skiing. Doesn't leak, easy to load with a wide opening so can put in ice cubes. Love it!
