The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

by fromGood, but there are better choices These days there are so many luxurious camping mattresses, it can be hard to choose the best one. I would rate the EXPED SIM Comfort 10 as quite comfortable, but I returned it in favor of the Exped Mega Mat and the REI Campbed 3.5 (I use both for different uses) for these reasons: 1) There is a distinct tendency to roll off the sides of the SIM. By comparison, the REI Campbed 3.5 and the Mega Mat provide a stable sleep surface. 2) The SIM is only slightly more comfortable than the REI Campbed 3.5 and not worth the extra money. The Campbed has a softer top surfance that feels better on bare skin. 3) The Exped Mega Mat is much more comfortable than the SIM. If you're going to pay this much money, you might as well go all the way and get the Mega Mat. For sleeping on the ground the Mega Mat is definitely more comfortable than the SIM by a large factor. For sleeping on a cot the REI Campbed 3.5 is better (excellent, in fact) and cheaper. I am not recommending the SIM not because it's not a good mattress---it is---but because there are better choices in this age of amazing mattresses.

by fromSooooo Comfy! So like any exped product, this one is a winner too. I also own their synmat7. I got this pad beacuse I started car camping more than backpacking and wanted something nice and fluffy unlike a cheapo air matress. Inflation took 24hrs this first time around, but since then no problems inflation takes 20-30mins. Easy to deflate and pack. Nice materials, rugged and held my big self in place no issue. Call me crazy, but this thing did not feel like it weighed the 64oz it was advertised at, so to the scale it went. An even 3lbs. Now at 3lbs, call me crazy but I might take it backpacking cause it is that comfy and I would carry the extra pound for a better nights sleep. It would be bulky, but if you sleep better the next day will be better. There is only 1 thing I didn't like at first. The edges, they curve down a little bit. This could make it easy for someone to slip off IF they sleep with a very firm mat, I don't so no issue here. I've spent 3 nights on it so far. I should add I am a side sleeper and this is the most comfortable mat I have ever used. Well worth the money!

by fromAwesome sleeping pad for car camping Excellent sleeping pad for car camping-type uses. Super warm and comfortable. After the first full inflation, it self-inflates almost all the way by itself and holds air really well. The velcro feature is really nice too since my wife and I both have one. That way the pads can form 1 large mattress essentially, if needed. The pad is light for its size, but is still quite large even when rolled up into the stuff sack. I wouldn't ever take it backpacking, but for comfort, car camping, this pad is the best.
