Comments about CamelBak H.A.W.G. NV Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
I do a lot of day hiking, road cycling, and running. Because of this mix of activities, I try to keep one moderate-capacity (approx. 1000 cu inches) pack in my gear stash. I bought this one to replace a CamelBak I beat to death over about 6 years. I've used the pack on about 7 hikes totaling about 70 miles, and 6 rides totaling about 190 miles. It's been excellent for both types of activities. It allows you to adjust quickly for either type, keeps your water out of the way until you need it, and the zippers on all pockets stay shut even on long downhill runs or while ducking through underbrush on non-trail stretches. Cleans up easily afterward. Only minor quibble is the waist belt tends to work itself loose after trail running stints that bounce you around a lot. You just have to reach down and cinch it up again.

Comments about CamelBak H.A.W.G. NV Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
I take this backpack with me wherever I go. I stay hydrated, and it's not cumbersome at all. My only problem at all, is that I like to take this bag climbing and sometimes my shoes or whatever is in the storage area obstructs water flow. Not a big deal.

Comments about CamelBak H.A.W.G. NV Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
I use mine for all-day hikes/rides and over-night trips. For me, it's the perfect size and fits my torso nearly perfectly making it very comfortable and stable.
Although the load bearing straps can be ajusted to fit, the only thing I would add are risers to bring the pack closer to my shoulders. I know it may not be necessary for some, but for me, it would make this pack perfect.

Comments about CamelBak H.A.W.G. NV Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
Bought this not too long ago and hit the mtn bike trails these past few weekends. This pack is by far the best purchase for a dad, biker, hiker, outdoor enthusiast.
I went up north for a week's vacation with the family - use the space for diapers, sunglasses, lunches, extra water bottles and we took off as a family on a bike trip. This performed as a "catch all" and it was awesome.

Comments about CamelBak H.A.W.G. NV Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
I mainly choose this because it doubles as a camelbak and a backpack to carry lots of stuff. Last time I wore it to a hike in a 110 degree heat, and i had 5 extra 20oz bottles of water in there plus extra clothing, food, etc. And it was very comfortable. You get what you pay for.

Comments about CamelBak H.A.W.G. NV Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
This is the first CamelBak Product I have purchased and I absolutely love it!!! Before I had purchased some cheaper brands of hydration packs that I found to fall apart and leak especially at the bite valve leaving me soaking wet throughout a hike or ride. I finally decided to purchase a quality product and I can honestly say I will never go back to any other pack but CamelBak!
I have had this pack about 2 months now and have taken it on two day hikes and one mountain biking trek and it has definatly held up what it promises. I love the 3 liter bladder which has lasted me all day and then some. Even after being out for 6-8 hours on the trail when I get home my water is still nice and cold. The bite valve is easy and works great with no leakage at all. I don't really use the yellow locking mechanism on the bite valve but nice feature to have while in route to destination.
I also loved the NV feature with the raised padding against your back. Great ventilation. It was very comfortable and kept my back cool even when perspiring. Plenty of pockets and storage. I probably carry about 15-20lbs in this pack and it rides on my back very light. The compression straps are placed well and function well to achieve the maximum weight distribution. They are very easy to cinch down.
The bladder is extremely easy to fill and handle. The Quick Link connection system from tube to bladder is pure genius and leak free.
Overall a great all-around pack for getting out
and exploring your surroundings a day at a time.

Comments about CamelBak H.A.W.G. NV Hydration Pack - 100 fl. oz.:
I use the CamelBak H.A.W.G. NV Hydration Pack for longer day hikes. It is incredibly comfortable and durable. It travels well (both thrown in the back of my car and cramped in my carry-on luggage for longer trips). I was not sure it was worth the extra expense (it is among the pricier CamelBaks), but it has been absolutely worth it to have extra room in my pack.

We use this as my wife's bug out bag as she is a kidney transplant patient, so we have a weeks worth of medication in it, water, extra clothes etc. It is light, roomy, comfortable to wear. Not often you can find all that in a pack.
